Where do I start.....the photos are minimal on this unit and a reason why......
We arrived at Peng's house to see from a distance a nice looking Motorhome. As we got closer we saw more than usual "wear and tear" It has damage to the exterior specifically all over the rear end. Including a ladder that looks like was ripped off and then attempted to be fixed with duct tape. Peng quickly went through a walk through and should be more diligent in properly signing off all features, systems and functions. The cleanliness was gross. My wife and I hold a high bar to what I would consider a hotel room on wheels. The RVezy pre trip inspection is very basic and will be letting them know as well. He quickly let us go and we brought the RV home to start packing it. We spent 2-3 hours cleaning before we even put anything in it and decided to pack our own cooking utensils. While packing we noticed the water pump would not shut off and then the water heater leaked when diverted through it. This forced me to take it to the nearest RV dealership to get it looked at. Thank goodness they had an hour to give to me to look at it. The pump and filter were shot and got replaced. The Tech could not get the water heater out and as I too suspected was probably not winterized properly and split. We were told by Peng that it had been rented out a few times already this year. I find this hard to believe with no functioning water system. The trust level is gone now and we feared what else would we find knowing we have several mountain passes to do on our trip. This is a serious vehicle with lives on board. I was now phoning RV dealerships to find a place along our trip to get a new water heater installed (or have one in stock) I have now wasted hours of my time to try and solve 2 major expectations. Water and Hot Water. Peng was fast to pre pay to fix these things but that was the only positive at. Another discover before we left was the couch was busted and would not turn into a bed. I was done fixing crap at this point. So we took a tent and one of our kids was willing to sleep in that.
Other things of concern and disappointments:
- Being treated like we do know RV's
- I had to take hours out of family time to replace the water heater I found at a dealership
- Gross carpets (stains all over) sticky red stuff on bedroom carpet
- Windshield wiper that squeak and do not work. Cannot see in the dark in the rain and is safety concern. Replace them!
- Breaker panel door latches busted
- Shower head holder busted off (which I fixed too)
- Tape holding curtains
- Awning tilts are seized and not working.
- plexi glass door above the driver door fell off on me.
- Outdoor shower line is busted. turn on the taps and it just leaks everywhere. This is nice to rinse sand off or rinse the septic hose off.
- The couch should be tossed. not only broken but patched with faux leather tape.
- The rear tires need to be looked at. I seriously hope the next renter reads this as I was hesitant to drive on them. they are very aged cracked on the sidewall and a chunk out of one of them. They need replacing before the next trip or better have two hands on the wheel if it blows out.
In summary this was false advertisement with cleanliness and safety not his concern. RVezy needs to be involved on this one. A previewing should be available that allows the user to decide if they want it. A VERY throughout check list needs to be done. This unit needs some love. It has the potential to be a nice unit even for its age.......
The RV was good and Peng was very help and responsive.
