New Grand Design Transcend xplor - Your next luxury get away

This trailer was in good fairly new condition however there were a few major flaws mainly being the communication with the hosts. A host is supposed to reach out to a guest 2 weeks in advance of the trip to confirm all details. We heard nothing from this host even after I reached out to them 4 days before the fully paid trip. They actually didn't confirm our trip until less than 24hrs before dropping off the unit. When we choose a delivery time they didn't respond until the next day telling us they would have to drop it off 2hrs before our arrival, so they were not onsite with us for the inital inspection as we were still driving to the destination. Thankfully for us we were staying on a lot with 2 permanent trailers as within 1.5days the shitter was literally about to overflow! (there was only 4 of us!) My brother in law and husband had to empty the septic tank and then also unclog the toilet! If we were camping on our own this would have been a huge problem for our 6 day trip as the trailer hitch was locked when dropping off. We had a great time with our family and the other trailers had a few small appliances that this unit does not. (Coffee maker & toaster) We never got to actually meet the host as they confirmed pick up time was later than we could stay so I completed the departure inspection on my own as well. Overall this unit is nice inside (I would say up to 4 people max comfortably) but the hosts horrible communication skills will add stress to your holiday planning!

While the trailer is nice, the experience was not. Despite being advertised as a luxury experience, we found the trailer was unequipped to live up to that claim. It was delivered with no propane, no battery life and previous renter’s garbage still in the bathroom. There were some paper plates, but sparse dishes otherwise, and nothing to wash them with, no broom, no lighter to light the stove (we had to borrow one from another campsite), we had to mop the floor by hand as there was nothing to clean up with. Oh and only 3/4 of a roll of toilet paper was provided for a week of camping with a family of seven. We have rented RV’s before and have had positive experiences every time. But this was highly disappointing. I guess if you rent it, be prepared to bring your own sheets, dishes, dish soap, generator, and propane, toilet paper, broom, lighter, along with anything else you’ll need. We tried reaching out to the owner and he took a lot of time responding to our messages, and told us that he didn’t advertise a “full camping experience” and that we could leave early. Honestly if we could give zero stars, we would.

Christian was a amazing host. The camper was everything we needed. I would book it again next year.
