2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

This 2016 4x4 Sprinter 170 van has been recently converted and has very low mileage. You will save money as it is a diesel which also gives it ample power for pushing up those BC steep highways. With four captains chairs this van was built for a family of four to head into the BC outdoors and while being self sufficient contain all the luxuries that modern technology afford us. If requested for rentals longer than one week I can remove one of the captains chairs for those who want more free space. The van has an eight lithium ion battery bank with a huge 800 amp hour capacity. With a 3000 watt inverter there are over 10 standard 120v house duplex outlets. There are also many 12v outlets inside and outside the van. Bring all the electronics and household gadgets you want. The bathroom inside has a shower as well as a completely odourless marine macerating toilet. With oversized storage tanks you can enjoy life off the grid for extended periods. You will not sacrifice sleep thanks to a short queen bed with a Froli sleep system (Custom RV Support Springs) and an 8 inch multi layered foam mattress. Theres two bunk beds (Cabbunks) that set up over the two front captains chairs. The galley has a huge full size sink and faucet, two burner convection stovetop, full size microwave oven as well as a brand new compressor driven very large fridge and freezer. There is also a Diesel fired hydronic furnace that provides heat and on demand hot water. What’s included? Theres tableware for four as well as full kitchen cookware, cutlery, and pot and pans. Theres full linens as well as newly purchased Ikea bedding for the bed as well as sleeping bags for the kids if requested. There's a full outdoor kitchen in a box available which includes propane stove and all tableware, camp chairs and a portable picnic cooler if requested. We have found our family of four gets about three days before we need to dump the tanks and refill the water and charge the batteries. Mixing off the grid campsites with RV serviced sites works best for us but we do have a generator and BC has a huge amount of Sani dumps to fill and dump tanks if serviced RV sites are not your thing. Other things to note Although built on a 4x4 chassis which provides great clearance this is still an RV. There are undermounted storage tanks and care does need to be taken if driven off pavement. This machine is not meant to be taken on anything more than in service forest service roads, think Squamish valley or Harrison Forest service road. The other limitation is interior height and the bed is set up to sleep sideways. Because of the heated floors and winterized interior plumbing there is about 6'1" of interior clearance. Also although I have installed flares anyone over 6'2" should probably look for a more conventional forward/backwards bed layout.
