Shayne's Forest River 17bh Travel Trailer

I have used RVezy multiple times with great experiences, but unfortunately this rental did not meet expectations. Communication was mediocre, critical amenities were compromised, and high add-on fees made this a less than enjoyable experience. What went right: the trailer was delivered on time, and the trailer structure was fine. It was clean, empty, and included two rolls of TP and a broom. And when we left a day early, Shayne was able to accommodate our request. Shayne set up the trailer at our site away from a giant puddle. He did tell us that we shouldn’t run the AC and microwave at the same time. Which maybe should have tipped me off earlier that something wasn’t right. Almost immediate after delivery we had two issues. One was the fresh water: upon running the sink, the water had a strong sewage odor. When reported, Shayne suggested running the line, but the issue persisted. We ended up toting campground tap water back to the RV for dishes and food prep as a workaround for our weeklong trip. Next when we tried to run the AC on high, the circuit breaker tripped. That was when we realized the power cord was only rated for 15A. We had to borrow a 30A cord from another camper to run basic climate control. At this point Shayne told us he “was just trying to be nice” by presumably giving us a longer cord than what was included with the trailer. At no point during delivery did he explain that parking the trailer further from the electrical service would compromise our ability to use the AC or other appliances. If I had known, I would have made a different choice. Finally, be aware that septic dumping is not included with delivery and carries a $200 fee, significantly higher than typical platform rates. I found this objectionable when I was charged because as a delivery guest, I have no means to move the RV to dump the tanks myself, and it was an easy stop for Shayne on the way out of the campground. In previous delivery trips (with different hosts) I hadn’t had a charge for septic dumping as a delivery guest, and incorrectly assumed it would be the case again. I have learned an expensive lesson and hope this review will inform others of my mistake. Overall, not a great experience and wouldn’t rent from Shayne again.

Shayne was a great host. The trailer was clean, as described and in working order. It pulled excellent and the fridge worked perfectly while on propane. Would not hesitate to rent it again. Thanks for making our family trip even better.

First experience in a camping in a trailer. Will do again for sure! RVezy was a breeze to use and Shayne a very good host!
