Solar power charging was a bit of a pain with it not working at certain points, but was a great time .

The van was perfect for our trip and Thomas was great to deal with. Thomas did a detailed walk through to make sure we understood everything and was always available if we needed anything.

This was our first time renting a camper van. We wanted to see what it was like, to know if it was something that would work for us purchasing in the future. We really enjoyed it! It was so easy - no setup required, and Thomas has the unit very well equipped. It was cozy, comfortable, and drove well! Highly recommend!

It was our first experience with vanlife and it was perfect with the rivervan. We had a friendly and good communication with Thomas, we had question during the trip and he response quickly. The van was very confortable, and well equiped. We had good sleep. Very smooth driving. We only had great memories with the van.

The van was well stocked and very clean. Had a great experience and Thomas was very easy to communicate with!

Good vehicle, had some issues with heater so we had to head back early. Disappointed at remarks about supposed damage and charges at end for things we cleaned. But this was our first rental ever and didn’t take enough photos to dispute charge. Bed is very short, as noted in ad. We had to take an oven door off to unstick a door in order to access cooking pans. Drawers open while driving so we were constantly fiddling with something. Pick up and drop off was easy, but never met Tom. Take lots of photos and really document everything.

We absolutely loved our experience. The van was great and Thomas was fantastic to work with. We can't wait for our next trip!

Thomas was an excellent host, we really appreciated the airport pickup and drop-off and instructions to use the propane and battery system. The van was clean and tidy, exactly as pictured, the bed and bedding comfortable, easy and comfortable to drive. We used the propane furnace (overnight), fridge, and cooktop - only used a half tank of propane over 6 nights. Fuel cost to operate the van was quite reasonable. We had the van for 7 nights, only plugged in to AC to fully charge the first night and the last. The only trouble in the days running battery-only was due to leaving the Inverter switch on when not using the outlets, causing excess drain on the house battery over several days which resulted in the furnace not working the fifth night (battery down to 10.5 volts). Solar panels alone were not enough to keep the house battery up to 12 volts in early October even though every day was sunny. Before the trip I had trouble uploading the drivers license using the RVezy app on an Android phone - after several failures I called customer service and was pleasantly surprised by how helpful and patient they were to resolve the issue - 5 stars just for that! Finally, our trip down the mountain-lined Icefield Parkway from Jasper to Kicking Horse Pass and Banff/Lake Louise was everything we expected and wanted. The whole experience was top notch.

It was a pleasure renting the campervan from Thomas. He was very attentive and coordinated a drop off/pick up which helped with our travel limitations. He was communicative throughout the entire trip and handled an issue that we had with timely resolutions. The van was amazing and was our home away from home for two weeks and lived up to the expectations that we had and features/accommodations that were listed. I would highly recommend renting through Thomas and we will definitely rent again from him in the future!

The river van was nothing short of amazing! Thomas was incredible, extremely organized, informative and helpful for helping us have the best trip possible!The river van was the absolute best way to see the breathtaking beautiful landscape that Alberta has to offer, the big windshield in the front and multiple big windows all around make it easy to get a great view at any landscape or wildlife that you will pass on the trip, from Edmonton to jasper, jasper to Banff, Banff to Drumheller and back to Edmonton, all that and under $400 in fuel, unlimited laughs and memories were made thanks to the river van. Would not hesitate to rent or recommend Thomas and his amazing river van to anyone traveling to the beautiful west side of Canada. Thanks again Thomas it was a better experience than we could of dreamed of!

Couldn’t be happier with our experience with Thomas and The River Van! After a couple other vans fell through, Thomas was very accommodating with a last minute reservation. He was very quick to respond to any questions and checked in with us from time to time during our trip. The van itself was a dream to drive and included everything we needed to stay fed, caffeinated, charged and comfy while on the road for a week. Will definitely be recommending Thomas and the van to all our friends back home who have the Banff/Jasper area on their bucket list!

We loved this camper van! Thomas was a real pleasure to deal with. He has taken the time to make sure you have everything you would need/want to make your vacation easy and comfortable. The solar system worked perfect and provided us with all our electrical needs off grid! The extras (camp chairs, cooler, bbq, towels, cookware, and bedding) were a great touch especially when you are from out of the province and bringing those items are impossible. We were also impressed with the fuel economy of the van. We travelled from Edmonton to Edson, Jasper, lake Louise, Banff, Canmore, Calgary and back to Edmonton for $400 :) The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the fan system worked amazing for the warm evenings. We will be definitely contacting Thomas again when we come back to the area. Thanks so much Thomas for making our vacation one we will always remember!

Better than expected! The van had everything we needed and more. Smooth ride and great on gas. Communication with Thomas was seemless and he was very accommodating. Would highly recommend :)

The Van was exactly as described and pictured in the ad. Definitely a deluxe version of vanlife with lots of space for two to enjoy. It was well set up and easy to operate the power and propane after a quick tutorial. We ended up camping on a chilly weekend so appreciated the furnace very much. There were some nice extras like very comfy camp chairs and a campfire blanket we enjoyed using. Thomas was professional and pleasant to deal with throughout the entire rental process. We hope to rent his beautiful van again soon.
