Hello fellow campers, My love for camping started at the very young age of 6 months as my parents brought me on a weekly basis to Picton campground with a standing monthly reservation through my grandparents (back in the mid 1960's). From this early age and going forward, Picton's campground and beach was my family's favourite weekend campground go to location. Back in this time frame the campground was small so as a child having the freedom to run/play and explore without any time frames was amazing. At the end of each day, there would be a bonfire, toasted marshmallows, and falling asleep while looking to the skies watching for satellite's and shooting stars with my grandparents and parents. Growing up into a teenager/adult, my love for camping continued especially once first the pup tent/then pop up trailer and now rv was set up. Enjoying the peace and tranquility that camping brings especially when the opportunity of feeding chipmunks are included, was my escape from the daily adult grind of work and household work. No stress and just complete relaxation.
