How to get to Bahia Honda State Park

Bahia Honda State Park is located on US-1 (the Overseas Highway) at mile marker 37, about 12 miles south of Marathon and roughly 35 miles northeast of Key West, a drive of about 45 to 60 minutes. From Miami it is approximately 160 miles, a drive of three to four hours depending on traffic through the Keys. RV travelers should plan for the Seven Mile Bridge and other long, narrow bridges with no shoulders, strong crosswinds, and limited passing opportunities, and should watch for height-restricted areas and slow zones through island communities. The nearest major airports for fly-and-rent trips are Key West International (EYW), about 40 miles southwest, and Miami International (MIA) to the northeast.
