Bannack State Park is 25 miles west of Dillon, Montana, approximately 35 minutes by car. From Dillon, take I-15 south to exit 59 (Highway 278), drive west on Highway 278 for 17 miles, then turn south on Bannack Road for 4 miles to the campground. The final 4 miles are dirt/gravel and can be rough or impassable in winter snow. The nearest commercial airports are Dillon Airport (DLN), 5 miles from Dillon, and Bert Mooney Airport (BTM) in Butte, approximately 68 miles away.
