A paved boat launch gives RVers direct access to Burt Lake, one of the largest inland lakes in Michigan. Anglers target walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, and yellow perch, and the lake connects to the wider Inland Waterway for longer cruising.
The nearby Sturgeon River is one of the fastest free-flowing rivers in the Lower Peninsula and a popular kayaking and tubing run. Local liveries in Indian River offer shuttles and rentals for half-day trips.

Karen and Michael were great to work with and communicating with them was easy and their response time was excellent! Highly recommend renting from them.

Karen and Mike were wonderful. This was the first time we rented an RV and it worked out well for our camp trip as it was cool and rainy. If we ever find ourselves in need of an RV for our family camp trips, we will definitely see if their RV is available.

Burt Lake State Park, MI, United States
The park sits just off I-75 at Exit 310, about a 4 to 4.5 hour drive north of Detroit and roughly 3.5 to 4 hours northeast of Grand Rapids. Traverse City is about 90 minutes to the west via US-31 and M-68. Roads into the park are flat and RV-friendly with no tunnels or steep mountain grades, though drivers should watch for narrow shoulders and seasonal deer activity on US-27 and local two-lane highways. The nearest airport for fly-and-rent travelers is Pellston Regional Airport, about 20 minutes north, with larger service at Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City.
