Late June through early September is the best window, with warm days, long daylight, and the most reliable access to seasonal day-use facilities. July and August bring peak warmth and peak visitor traffic across the Maritimes, so shoulder weeks in late June and early September often offer a quieter experience. Mid-September to early October can deliver pleasant touring weather and fall colour, though park services typically wind down after Labour Day. Spring can be wet and cool, and the park is closed in winter.

The park offers shaded picnic spots near Camerons Brook, the watercourse the park is named for. RV travellers can pull over for a quiet lunch stop away from busier coastal attractions.
Visitors can stretch their legs on short, informal footpaths through mixed Acadian forest and along the brook. Expect flat, easy terrain suitable for most ages.
The park serves as a convenient pause on the Sunrise Trail and other Northumberland Strait loop drives. Rolling farmland, red-sand shores, and small fishing villages make this one of the top RV touring areas in Atlantic Canada.
Streams and mixed-forest edges in rural Antigonish County attract songbirds, warblers, and waterfowl in season. Bring binoculars for casual birding from the picnic area or trailside.
The brook, woodland, and nearby rural landscapes offer classic Maritime scenery for photographers. Early morning and late-day light produce the best results through the wooded corridors.
Warm Northumberland Strait beaches such as Arisaig and Bayfield are within driving range of the park. Summer water temperatures along this coast make the region one of the most popular RV-accessible beach areas in Canada.
Pair a park visit with roadside farm stands, seafood shacks, and small-town bakeries along Route 245 and nearby Antigonish. Many pull-offs along the main routes can accommodate larger rigs for short stops.

First time renting a trailer and had a great first experience. The owners provided so much more than what is listed in their listing. From small kitchen appliances, cleaning supplies, dish ware, down to dvds for the dvd player. I could not have rented from better hosts. You will not be disappointed.

Camerons Brook Provincial Park, NS, Canada
The park sits in rural Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, reached via Highway 104 (Trans-Canada) and secondary Route 245 along the Northumberland Strait. From Halifax, plan for roughly a 2.5 to 3 hour drive of about 210 to 240 km via Highway 102 and Highway 104. From Charlottetown, plan for roughly a 2.5 hour drive including the Confederation Bridge crossing. RV drivers should watch for narrow rural roads, soft shoulders, and low-clearance branches on secondary routes, and if crossing to PEI, note the height and wind restrictions on the Confederation Bridge. The nearest major airports for fly-and-rent trips are Halifax Stanfield International and Charlottetown Airport.
