Best time to visit Cooper Lake State Park

Spring (March through May) and fall (late September through early November) are the best times for RV travel, with mild temperatures, lower humidity, and active fishing and wildflower viewing. Summer brings hot, humid weather often above 90 F and is the busiest season for swimming, boating, and weekend camping, so reservations are strongly recommended. Winter is mild but can bring cold snaps and occasional freezing rain, with quieter campgrounds and good crappie fishing. Shoulder seasons are ideal for RVers who want full hookups without summer crowds.
