Late spring through early fall is the prime window for RV travel, with May, June, September, and early October offering warm days, cooler nights, and lower humidity than midsummer. July and August bring the busiest lake activity and warmest swimming, but also peak crowds and humid thunderstorms. Shoulder months in April and October are ideal for hiking and fall color, though some services and beach access scale back. Winter camping is possible for self-contained RVs, but expect limited facilities and cold, damp weather.

Harsha Lake is the centerpiece of the park and open to unlimited-horsepower boating, water skiing, and paddling. Two launch ramps serve trailered boats, and kayakers can explore quieter coves along the eastern shoreline.
The park maintains two sand swimming beaches along the lake, with changing areas and picnic grounds nearby. Both beaches have large paved lots that accommodate tow vehicles and most RVs.
Harsha Lake is a well-known fishery stocked for largemouth bass, crappie, walleye, hybrid striped bass, and catfish. Bank anglers can fish from the dam, causeway, and designated shoreline areas accessible by vehicle.
This long-distance perimeter trail circles the park for roughly 32 miles and is popular with backpackers and long-distance day hikers. Trailheads with parking on the park's main roads make day-section hikes practical from the campground.
The park has a dedicated backcountry Backpack Trail plus several shorter nature and lakeview loops near the campground. These trails range from easy interpretive walks to moderate ridge hikes with lake overlooks.
East Fork has dedicated multi-use trails open to mountain bikes and equestrian riders in separate areas of the park. Staging lots near the trailheads can handle trucks with trailers and most Class C motorhomes.
Multiple picnic areas are scattered around the lake, with shelters, grills, and lake views. Paved loops and pull-through parking make these spots RV-friendly for day stops.
Monica was great to work with. RV was clean and perfect for a quick tailgating weekend.

East Fork State Park, OH, United States
The park is off State Route 125 near Bethel, Ohio, roughly a 45-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati and about 2 hours from Columbus via I-71 and SR 125. RVers typically approach from I-275 around Cincinnati, then head east on SR 125, a mostly two-lane route with some rolling grades and small-town traffic lights rather than any major mountain passes or tunnels. Drivers towing larger rigs should plan for tight turns on the park access roads and watch for low-clearance gas station canopies along SR 125. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International (CVG), about an hour west of the park.
