Late spring through early summer, roughly April to June, is often the best time to visit because waterfalls run full from seasonal rainfall and temperatures are mild for hiking. October is a popular shoulder season for fall color across the plateau, though weekends fill quickly and reservations are recommended. July and August are warm and humid with afternoon thunderstorms, while winter brings quieter campgrounds, leafless long-distance views and the chance of icy roads at higher elevations.

The Fall Creek Falls Overlook offers a direct view of the park's namesake 256-foot waterfall from a paved overlook accessed by a short walk. Parking near the overlook accommodates passenger vehicles and most RVs, making it the easiest way to see the headline view.
Cane Creek Falls and the adjacent Cascades are viewed from overlooks near the Nature Center in the developed core of the park. The short, mostly level paths make these waterfalls a quick stop for RV travelers based at the campground.
The Gorge Overlook Trail is a moderate hike along the Cane Creek gorge rim connecting the Nature Center area with Fall Creek Falls Overlook. The route includes a swinging suspension bridge and several viewpoints into the canyon.
Piney Creek Falls drops into a forested gorge and is viewed from a short trail and overlook off the park's scenic loop road. The pull-off is accessible by car and smaller RVs.
Fall Creek Falls Lake is a quiet impoundment within the park used for fishing, paddling and seasonal boat rentals. A boat ramp and shoreline access points are reached from paved park roads.
The park's paved loop roads and connector paths are popular for cycling, with rolling terrain through forest and along the gorge rim. Riders can start directly from the campground without moving the RV.
The Base of the Falls Trail descends from the main overlook to the plunge pool of Fall Creek Falls. The route is short but steep and rocky, with a substantial climb back to the parking area.
We opted for delivery and setup to the campsite which was great! When we arrived everything was set up and ready for us to move in. It was great to escape the heat at the event and have lunch and dinner at the camper. They were awesome to work with! We highly recommend them for a rental option!! We would definitely choose them again!!

So glad I chose to rent an rv for the first time this weekend, as it rained 2 of 3 days and nights. Communication was smooth, even when a strange fluke occurred and I accidently got locked out. Matt immediately drove out to the site with a spare. It seemed to be a malfunction in the mechanism which I'm sure they will be addressing soon. The camper was clean, well equipped and simple to operate. The bed was comfy and I am particular. So , I was , a happy camper.

Fall Creek Falls State Park, TN, United States
The park is on the Cumberland Plateau between Pikeville and Spencer, Tennessee, off State Route 30 and State Route 284. Chattanooga is roughly 75 miles to the south, about a 1.5-hour drive, and Nashville is about 130 miles west, around 2.5 hours by RV. Approaches climb the plateau on grades that can be slow for larger rigs, so plan fuel stops and watch for narrow shoulders and tight turns on secondary state routes. The closest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers is Chattanooga Metropolitan (CHA), with Nashville International (BNA) and McGhee Tyson in Knoxville (TYS) as larger alternatives.
