We opted for delivery and setup to the campsite which was great! When we arrived everything was set up and ready for us to move in. It was great to escape the heat at the event and have lunch and dinner at the camper. They were awesome to work with! We highly recommend them for a rental option!! We would definitely choose them again!!

So glad I chose to rent an rv for the first time this weekend, as it rained 2 of 3 days and nights. Communication was smooth, even when a strange fluke occurred and I accidently got locked out. Matt immediately drove out to the site with a spare. It seemed to be a malfunction in the mechanism which I'm sure they will be addressing soon. The camper was clean, well equipped and simple to operate. The bed was comfy and I am particular. So , I was , a happy camper.

What's the best time of year for an RV trip in Tennessee?

The best time for an RV trip in Tennessee is late March through early June and September through mid-November. Expect spring temps from 55–75°F and stunning wildflowers, or crisp fall air and colorful leaves. Summers can be humid (80–90°F) especially in Memphis and Nashville, so plan for AC and lakeside camping. Winters are mild (average 35–50°F), and some state parks offer year-round RV camping: perfect for cozy fires, solitude, and crowd-free trails.

I've never rented or driven an RV: is Tennessee a good place to start?

Tennessee is one of the best places for first time renting an RV: roads are wide, most campgrounds are easy to maneuver, and hosts provide a hands-on orientation at pickup or delivery. Many state parks have pull-through sites, and hilly areas are well-marked for slower, scenic driving. Your host is just a message away on RVezy, and local campsites are used to helping RV first-timers feel right at home.

What happens if I break down during my Tennessee RV trip?

Can I drive my Tennessee RV rental to neighboring states or cross into Canada?

Absolutely: you can take your Tennessee RV rental across state lines to popular spots like Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, or the Carolinas with just a heads-up to your host. Destinations like Great Smoky Mountains National Park stretch across Tennessee and North Carolina: no special permissions needed! Road-tripping is at the heart of the Tennessee RV experience.

How much should I budget for gas on my Tennessee RV camping trip?

Plan for 8–13 miles per gallon (mpg), depending on RV size: compact campervan rentals in Tennessee are most fuel-efficient. Gas prices typically run below the national average. For a 400-mile Tennessee RV road trip, expect $100–$160 in fuel. Pro tip: many state parks offer nearby gas stations with fair pricing and amenities. Use Google Maps to track fuel stops, especially heading into the Smokies or rural lakes, where options can be sparse after dark.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds in Tennessee?

For the best campgrounds near Nashville, Memphis, or the Smokies: book as early as 6 months ahead, especially for peak foliage, summer weekends, or holidays. Tennessee State Parks use a central online reservation system, so you can check availability instantly. Popular spots like Fall Creek Falls or David Crockett State Park fill up, but private RV parks often have last-minute sites midweek. If you're planning a spontaneous road trip, try first-come campsites at smaller parks or county fairgrounds.

What are Tennessee roads like for RVing? Are there any local hazards?

Tennessee roads are known for their scenic drives and generally easy navigation. Expect winding routes in the Smokies, occasional mountain tunnels, and low-clearance bridges signed clearly along main routes. Watch for deer at dusk: especially near state parks: and be mindful of summer storms that can bring heavy rain and brief flooding. Major highways like I-40 and I-65 are RV-friendly, and local traffic in Nashville or Knoxville is manageable, especially if you avoid rush hour.

What amenities do campgrounds in Tennessee offer for RVs?

Most Tennessee RV campgrounds: like Anchor Down RV Resort or Henry Horton State Park: offer electric, water, and dump stations. Bathhouses, fire rings, WiFi, and even pool access are common at private parks. Tennessee State Parks often provide full hookup sites, laundry, and hiking trails right at your doorstep. Many locations have propane refills and easy-to-navigate pull-throughs. Check your chosen park's website for full amenity lists before you book your Tennessee RV trip.

Many Class A and Class C models include outdoor griddles or awnings perfect for Smoky Mountain tailgates. Check add-on options like firewood bundles or bike racks in the listing. First-timers love the full walkthrough provided at pickup, so you're never left guessing about how anything works.

Are there extra add-ons, and how do pickup and dropoff work for RV rentals in Tennessee?

Great news: most Tennessee RV rentals offer convenient add-ons like linens, chairs, kayaks, or even festival passes.
