Service Charges and Fees

Service Charges and Fees

RVezy provides a secure and easy-to-use RV rental marketplace and connects travelers worldwide with experienced and trusted RV owners. Our service fees are determined based on several factors, including lead time to the booking, RV availability in a given area, vehicle value, and trip duration.

Host service charges

Listing fee

RVezy does not charge our hosts a fee to list their RV for rent on our marketplace.

Service charge

RVezy charges every host a base service charge of 20% and only collects this charge on paid bookings. The 20% service charge applies only to the nightly RV rental rate and add-ons, and is deducted from the host's final payout.

In some circumstances, hosts may pay higher than the 20% service charge if they choose to add an optional premium feature to their listing. Premium features and their associated charges are shown below.

RVezy's service charge contributes to the cost of maintaining and improving the website and mobile app and includes:

  • Hosting and marketing RV listings.
  • Booking management.
  • Guest verification.
  • Secure payment processing.
  • Customer support.

Minimum service charge

RVezy applies a minimum service charge of $15 per night for motorhomes and $10 per night for trailers. This fee will only apply if the booking's service charge falls below this minimum.

Delivery, post-trip, and damage charges

Delivery charges, incidentals, and other post-trip payment requests are subject to a 5% transactional charge. Items commonly included in this transactional charge may include additional mileage, generator charges, optional cleaning charges, tolls, and final closeout fees.

The 5% transactional charge is a necessary part of our process. It helps us cover the costs associated with processing the transactions for both our hosts and guests.

Taxes may apply to the service and transactional charges based on your province or state of residence.

Visit our pages on rental insurance, roadside assistance, and security deposits or RV delivery for more information on those topics.

Guest service charges

Guests pay a flat-rate service charge on the total rental amount,*which is paid during the booking process before the trip begins.

*Rental insurance and the security deposit are exempt from the service charge.

Post-trip transactional charges

Post-trip payment requests for incidentals and damages not covered by an insurance claim are subject to an additional 5% transactional charge. Items commonly included in this transactional charge may include mileage overage, generator charges, extra cleaning charges not paid for during the initial booking payment, toll charges, and miscellaneous closeout fees.

Minimum service charge

A minimum service charge of $10 per night for trailers and $15 per night for motorhomes applies to all bookings. This fee will only apply if the booking's service charge falls below this minimum.

Security deposit

Hosts determine how much they want to hold for a security deposit. Security deposits help quickly resolve minor incidents that don’t require an insurance claim.

RVezy processes the guest's security deposit as an authorization (temporary hold of funds) to the credit card on file three days before the trip begins.

Once the trip is complete, RVezy will release the security deposit (temporary hold of funds) back to the guest's card on file, and the transaction will no longer appear on the account.
