The Winslow Massif is the park's most popular hiking destination, offering a 6.8 km moderately challenging trail with 600 feet of elevation gain and panoramic views of Lac Saint-François. The trail is accessible via a trailhead parking area near the Saint-Daniel sector and rewards hikers with vistas of the surrounding Chaudière-Appalaches landscape.
This easy, flat 3 km loop trail winds through a rare bog and marshland ecosystem, offering a gentler walk suitable for families and visitors of varying fitness levels. The trail provides close-up views of peat vegetation and wetland wildlife, including nesting birds in spring and summer.
Canoe and kayak enthusiasts can explore the third-largest lake south of the St. Lawrence River from the park's lakeside base. The calm waters are ideal for both beginner and intermediate paddlers, and boat rentals are available at both the Saint-Daniel and Southern sectors.
Lac Saint-François supports healthy populations of northern pike and largemouth bass, making it a popular destination for recreational anglers. Fishing is accessible directly from campsite waterfront areas, and no special permit is required beyond a standard Quebec fishing license.
Multiple trails ranging from 5 to 16 kilometers wind along the shoreline and into forested interior sections of the park. Most routes include interpretive signage highlighting the park's ecology, geology, and wildlife, particularly its diverse bird population of over 200 species.
Dedicated biking routes and shared trail access allow RV campers to explore the park by bicycle. The terrain ranges from lakeside paths to forested single-track, accommodating both leisurely family rides and more technical cycling.
The park is home to 30 mammal species and over 200 bird species, making it an excellent destination for wildlife observation and birdwatching. Early morning and dusk visits to lakeshore areas offer the best opportunities for spotting deer, moose, waterfowl, and songbirds.
