This was our first experience renting a trailer and it all worked out perfectly. The price was right. Isabelle, our host, was lovely and answered all my questions. When we picked it up, the instructions were clear. And most important, the trailer was well supplied, clean and my number one consideration - the bed was comfortable. I would rent this trailer again!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Quebec

What do I need to rent an RV in Quebec? Is a special license required?

You’ll be happy to know that renting an RV in Quebec is simple: you just need to be 25 or older with a valid driver’s license from any country. A special license or commercial driver’s permit is not required for most motorhome rentals in Quebec, so you can hit the road with confidence. International visitors should bring their International Driving Permit alongside their home license for a seamless pickup. RVezy verifies your license during booking, so you’re set for your Quebec RV trip! Once you’re booked, your host will walk you through how the RV works, even if you’ve never driven one before.

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Quebec? Are there ways to save?

A Quebec RV rental typically ranges from CA$100–$250/night for travel trailers, and CA$200–$400/night for campervan and motorhome rentals, depending on season and amenities. Summer is peak season, so booking early means better deals. For a cheap RV rental in Quebec, look for discounts on longer bookings, consider a travel trailer (towable units), or travel during spring or late September. Filtering by price and RV type on RVezy is simple: plus, many hosts offer free delivery during shoulder season! Planning a family RV trip? Splitting costs with friends makes adventures even more affordable.

What protection is included with an RV rental in Quebec?

Every RV rental in Quebec includes a protection package chosen by you at checkout: so you can rent and roll with peace of mind. RVezy’s protection package covers most types of accidental damage to the RV, and 24/7 roadside assistance is always included. You pick your coverage level, not the host, which means you’re always in control. If something goes wrong during your trip, help is just a phone call away. Whether you’re road tripping to Tadoussac or camping in Mont-Tremblant, knowing you’re covered lets you focus on adventure, not worry.

Can I cancel my Quebec RV rental and get a refund if plans change?

Booking an RV rental in Quebec with RVezy is low-risk. RVezy's cancellation policy applies to your booking; refunds depend on when you cancel. If your host cancels your reservation, you receive a full refund with no penalties, or you can choose RVezy credits plus a bonus. All cancellation details are shown at checkout so you know where you stand.

Are there pet-friendly RV rentals in Quebec? Where can I camp with my dog?

Absolutely! Pet-friendly RV rental in Quebec is easy to find: just use the “Pet-Friendly” filter on RVezy when browsing. Many hosts welcome dogs and cats, making it a breeze to bring your four-legged family member. Great campgrounds like Parc National d’Oka, Camping Aztec, and Camping Alouette all offer pet-permitted sites. Remember to pack your pet’s ID and vaccination records, as many parks require proof. Nothing beats hiking Jean-Lesage Ecological Park or strolling Old Quebec’s cobblestone streets with your pup after a cozy night in your RV.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite or home in Quebec?

Delivery is a game-changer for first-timers and busy travelers: many Quebec RV rental hosts offer delivery and setup right to your campground, home, or cottage. Just select 'Delivery' on RVezy and enter your address or campground, like Camping de la Baie or Parc National du Bic. Your host will bring the RV, handle the leveling and hookups, and walk you through how everything works. You just show up, settle in, and start your Quebec RV trip without the stress of driving or towing.

How far can I take my RV rental from Quebec? Are there unlimited mileage options?

Planning a big RV road trip from Quebec? Many hosts include a set mileage allowance (often 150–300 km per night), and some offer unlimited mileage: just look for 'unlimited mileage' in the RV listing. Popular routes include a drive to Saguenay Fjord (235 km), Mont-Tremblant (about 130 km from Montreal), and an epic trip to Gaspé (700 km). Heading to Ontario or the U.S.? Check with your host before booking, as some allow cross-province and cross-border trips. Ready for a worry-free escape? Just confirm your miles, and let your adventure unfold.

Where are the best campgrounds near Quebec for RV camping?

Quebec’s region offers some standout spots for RV camping: Camping Juneau Chalets (15 minutes from Old Quebec), Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier (known for its dramatic river valley), and Camping Orléans on historic Île d'Orléans are among the best campgrounds near Quebec City. For full hookups, Camping Transit is popular with families. Each offers unique scenery, hiking, and easy RV access. Book provincial parks in advance: summer weekends sell out fast. Want a riverside site for sunset? Ask your host for personal recommendations when you connect before booking!

When is the best time to rent an RV in Quebec?

The best time for an RV trip in Quebec is late spring through early fall, with May to mid-October bringing mild, comfortable weather: think highs of 60–80°F (15–27°C) and cool nights. Autumn's foliage is legendary, while July offers peak festival energy. Late September is ideal for fewer crowds and crisp air. Winter RV camping is possible if you’re feeling adventurous, but temperatures dip below freezing (down to 10°F/-12°C), so confirm your RV is four-season ready. Book early for summer and enjoy sugar shack season in April for a unique local treat!

Is it hard to drive an RV for the first time in Quebec? What support will I get?

First-time worries are normal, but renting an RV in Quebec is easier than you think. All guests receive a personal walkthrough at pickup or delivery: hosts show you how everything works and share driving tips, like how to handle sharp turns or city streets. Most Quebec RV rentals have automatic transmission, making driving a breeze even for beginners. And if you have a question after you hit the road, RVezy’s support team is just a call or chat away! Want extra peace of mind? Try a delivery to your campsite for a stress-free start.

What if I have a breakdown or get a flat tire during my Quebec RV rental trip?

You’re never alone on the road. Every RV rental in Quebec booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance: so if you get a flat, run out of gas, or need a tow, help is just one call away, anywhere across Quebec or Canada. Plus, your host and the RVezy team are always available for questions about the RV. With this kind of backup, you can travel confidently and focus on things like Le Massif’s mountain views or a lakeside lunch stop.

Can I take my Quebec RV rental across provincial borders or into the USA?

Great news for road trippers: Many rentals allow travel from Quebec into other provinces and some even permit trips to the USA (excluding Mexico). Just confirm cross-border travel with the host during booking and check that your protection package is valid for your destination. Epic routes from Quebec include Montreal (3 hours’ drive), Ottawa (5 hours), or even down to Vermont in the U.S. (4 hours). Have your passports/IDs handy, and enjoy seamless border crossings: Quebec makes a perfect launchpad for your next big RV adventure.

How do I budget for fuel on my Quebec RV rental trip?

Fuel is a big part of RV travel: most Quebec RV rentals average 10–14 mpg (17–20 L/100 km) for motorhomes, less for campervans and more for towables. Gas prices in Quebec are typically a bit higher than the rest of Canada, hovering around CA$1.80–$2.10 per litre. Want to save? Plan your route so you’re not fueling up at remote stations and use apps to find the best local prices. Exploring Charlevoix or the Gaspé Peninsula? Fill up in bigger towns like Quebec City or Lévis for the best deals.

How far ahead should I book a Quebec campground for my RV trip?

For a Quebec RV trip in national and provincial parks, it’s best to book your campsite 3–6 months in advance, especially for summer and holiday weekends. Parks like Jacques-Cartier and Mont-Sainte-Anne use online reservation systems that open as early as January. Privately owned campgrounds like Camping Transit and Camping De La Joie offer more flexibility, but prime waterfront or wooded sites still fill up quickly. Pro tip: Set a reminder for reservation opening days for places you’re dreaming of, and try midweek stays for wider choices.

What’s driving like in Quebec with an RV? Are there unique rules or hazards?

Driving an RV in Quebec is straightforward, but be mindful of narrow city streets in Old Quebec and keep an eye out for low-clearance bridges. Rural highways are scenic, but wildlife (especially deer and moose) can appear suddenly: slow down at dusk. Winter roads can be snowy and icy from November to April, so travel with care or book in spring through fall for easier drives. Local law requires headlights on at all times (even during the day). Delivery to your site makes city navigation a breeze!

What equipment and hookups should I expect at Quebec campgrounds?

Most major Quebec campgrounds offer electric, water, and sewer hookups for your RV, especially parks like Camping Juneau Chalets and Camping Transit. Provincial parks may have electric-only or unserviced sites: be sure to check ahead. Dump stations are common at full-service sites and fuel stops. Drinking water fill-ups are available at most campgrounds, but carry a food-grade hose just in case. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry are usually onsite. For maximum comfort, look for 'fully serviced' listings or message your host for hookup details.

What amenities come standard in Quebec RV rentals? (Beds, kitchen, AC, WiFi, etc.)

Every Quebec RV rental on RVezy includes the basics: comfortable beds, a kitchen with fridge and stove, heat, and a private bathroom. Many motorhome rentals feature air conditioning, TVs, WiFi hotspots, and even solar panels or generators. Want something specific, like bunk beds for a family RV trip or a pet-friendly layout? Use the filters to find your perfect match. All vehicles have seatbelts, and most hosts stock essentials like cookware and linens, so you can pack light and start exploring faster.

Which features and add-ons are popular with Quebec RV renters?

Add a little luxury or tailor your trip: Quebec RV renters often choose add-ons like BBQs, kitchen kits, camping chairs, bike racks, or even paddleboards for Laurentian lake days. Want cozy bedding or baby gear for the road? Many hosts offer convenient packages for a small fee. Flexible pickup hours and delivery options are available too, so you can start your holiday stress-free. Be sure to check the RV listing’s “extras” section and message your host for custom requests: you might find a unique perk only offered in Quebec!

How does payment work for my Quebec RV rental? What should I know about the security deposit?

Booking your RV rental in Quebec is secure and straightforward. Payment and the refundable security deposit are processed through RVezy; no cash needed. The security deposit is a temporary hold on your card, placed three days before your trip and released back to you within 7 days after the RV is returned in good shape. Avoid deductions by following your host's usage guidelines and returning the RV clean and damage-free. RVezy's secure system means your booking and payment are protected.
