Recent RV rental reviews in Montreal, QC

Jennifer D.Jun 2025
We were Vlad’s first rental and he didn’t disappoint! My review will be his first and I think it’s important for me to set the tone for his future rentals and renters. First let me begin by saying what a lovely person Vlad is. Very nice to speak to and he is both attentive and a great listener. His Bamboo Bungalow is exactly as described. It’s a recent vehicle and Vlad invested quite abit to modify it to his liking. All the amenities listed in the rental were there so I won’t list them here. The bed was extremely comfortable. It’s larger than a Queen and slightly smaller than a King. Vlad provided the linen and kindly offered a couple of extra pillows after I requested them. The kitchen has everything you would need including a Moka coffee maker. Vlad also provided basics like toilet paper, paper towels, baby wipes and more. Both the exterior and interior were very clean so very welcoming. Vlad was always very quick to answer my messages and extremely accommodating for our departure and arrival times which was wonderful. I highly recommend Vlad and his vehicle for your next trip. You won’t be disappointed!

Discover Montreal

With its European architecture, bilingual natives, and Québecois culture, Montréal feels a lot more like Europe than North America. During your trip, be sure to grab a plate of poutine, chat in French with the friendly locals, and take in city views from atop Mount Royal. Montréal is also renowned for being one of the best cities in North America for festivals, hosting the Montréal International Jazz Festival, POP Montréal, and the Montréal Cirque Festival.

Campers planning a Montréal motorhome rental should visit during the late spring or early fall during the shoulder season. You'll avoid the tourist season and won't have to deal with any heavy snowfall. However, be sure to pack warm clothes as temperatures can drop below freezing. Make last memories on your next Canadian road trip with a camper rental in Montréal.

You'll find several highly-rated RV campgrounds near Montréal where you can warm up from chilly Québec weather. RVers looking to camp as close to Montréal as possible should swing by Camp Alouette. Located a 30-minute drive from downtown, Camp Alouette offers around 150 pull-through sites with full hookups and 30- and 50-amp electricity. After spending the day in Sin City, grab a bite to eat at the on-site restaurant or relax by the pool. You'll also find plenty of creature comforts around camp, like Wi-Fi access, laundry facilities, and a convenience store.

Another popular campground within touching distance of downtown Montréal is Camping la Clé des Champs. This campground is open from May to October and offers over 200 sites with pull-through access, full hookups, and 30- and 50-amp electrical service. You won't get bored during your stay, with a swimming pool, golf course, and clubhouse. Useful on-site amenities include free Wi-Fi, a laundry room, and a camp store.

Prefer to camp farther from the bright lights of the big city? Then check out the Montréal KOA West. This campground is around 30 miles (50 kilometres) from Montréal, scenically located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. You'll find over 140 pull-through sites with full hookups that supply max-amp electricity. One great feature about this campground is that you can ride the KOA's tour shuttle if you don't feel like exploring Montréal on your own. Camp amenities include Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and restrooms.

While planning an RV rental in Montréal, you might ask yourself, "Is Montréal RV friendly?" Montréal ranks as one of the most congested cities in Canada. You can drive your RV through Montréal, but street parking is prohibited. One of the only places to park an RV in downtown Montréal is Walmart. Montréal has a superb subway system, so instead of driving downtown, consider parking in the city's outskirts and using public transport to get around.

Experience a slice of French Canadian culture with a tour of the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montréal. The mid-19th century Gothic Revival-style basilica is one of the most beautiful churches in Canada. Visitors can take a guided tour of the basilica in French or English and see stunning artwork and the lavish interior of this iconic building.

If you'd prefer an excursion that'll excite your whole crew, spend the day at La Ronde. La Ronde, operated by Six Flags park, is the largest amusement park in Québec, with 40 rides spread across 148 acres (nearly 60 hectares). Thrill-seekers will scream over the park's eight roller coasters, and your little ones? They will squeal with joy riding the family-friendly coasters. La Ronde also has a children's water park if you're searching for a place to cool off in the summer.

Québec's countryside is second to none, and one of the city's best hikes is up Mount Royal. Standing around 755 feet (230 metres) high over downtown Montréal, Mount Royal is popular with hikers looking for the city's best panoramic views. After your hike, stop and explore Mount Royal Park. This four-season park has historical points of interest, a playground, rowboat rentals, a gift shop, and much more.
