Merci beaucoup ✌️

What license do I need to rent an RV in Levis, Quebec?

Good news: your regular Class 5 driver's license (or its equivalent from another province, state, or country) is all you need to rent an RV in Levis. Quebec does not require a special RV endorsement or commercial license for any motorhome or trailer you'll find on RVezy. You'll need to be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the booking flow, so there are no extra trips to a Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) office. Visiting from outside Canada? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) for easy roadside checks. Then it's just you, the St. Lawrence views, and the open road.

Yes, every RV rental in Levis booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can drive off feeling confident. What happens if I need to cancel my Levis RV rental?

Plans change, and RVezy is built for that. RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy for every booking, and it includes a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates without stress. The exact terms depend on how far you are from your trip start date. You'll see the full policy at checkout and inside your RVezy dashboard before you confirm. Can I bring my dog on a Levis RV trip?

Absolutely, and Levis is a fantastic dog-friendly base. Many hosts offer a pet-friendly RV rental Levis families love, and you can find them in seconds by toggling the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy. Once you arrive, head to Parc des Chutes-de-la-Chaudiere, where leashed dogs can explore the suspension bridge and waterfall trails, or stretch out along the Parcours des Anses riverside path with skyline views of Old Quebec. Camping Transit and Quebec City KOA Holiday in nearby St-Nicolas both welcome leashed pets at most sites. Message any host before booking to confirm pet fees and number of pets, and your four-legged co-pilot is set.
koa.com/campgrounds/quebec-city/

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Levis?

Yes, RV delivery Levis is one of the easiest ways to start your trip, especially if it's your first time renting an RV. Many hosts will tow or drive the RV right to Camping Transit on Chemin St-Roch, Quebec City KOA Holiday in St-Nicolas, or even a private driveway, then level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. To find these listings, toggle the Delivery filter on RVezy and check each host's delivery radius and fee. It's the smoothest way to enjoy RV camping Levis style without ever towing a thing yourself.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Levis%2C%20Quebec

How far can I drive on a typical Levis RV rental?

Plenty far to make memories. Most Levis hosts include a generous daily mileage allowance (often 200 km per day), and some offer an RV rental with unlimited mileage as an add-on, which is perfect if you're planning a longer loop. From Levis you can comfortably reach Charlevoix and Baie-Saint-Paul (about 125 km, around 90 minutes), Montreal (about 270 km, around 3 hours), Rimouski at the gateway to the Gaspe Peninsula (about 300 km), or cross into Maine at the Armstrong/Jackman border (about 220 km). Check each listing's mileage policy before booking, and if you'll exceed it, message the host to pre-purchase extra kilometres at a discount.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Levis%2C%20Quebec

Where are the best campgrounds near Levis for RVs?

You're spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Levis include Camping Transit (600 Chemin St-Roch, right in Levis with full hookups, a pool, and a free shuttle to the Quebec City ferry), Quebec City KOA Holiday in St-Nicolas (big-rig pull-throughs, 50-amp service, and a splash pad), Camping du Fort de la Martiniere along Boulevard de la Rive-Sud (quieter riverside sites with St. Lawrence views), and Camping Juneau Chalets nearby. For a wilder vibe, drive 45 minutes north to Camping Stoneham or up to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. Book May to September sites by March, because Quebec City festival weekends sell out fast.
sepaq.com/camping/index.dot?language_id=1

When is the best time of year for a Levis RV trip?

Late June through mid-September is prime time, with daytime highs of 22 to 26°C (72 to 78°F) and cool, comfortable nights around 12 to 15°C (54 to 60°F) – ideal for a Levis RV trip with the windows open. July and August line up with Quebec City's Festival d'été and the Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France just across the river, while late September into early October delivers jaw-dropping fall foliage along the Chemin du Roy and in Charlevoix. Winters are genuinely cold (often -15°C / 5°F or lower with heavy snow), so most RV rentals operate April through October. Shoulder seasons offer the best prices and easiest campground bookings.
climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_normals/index_e.html

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay starting in Levis?

Yes, first time renting an RV in Levis is genuinely doable, and thousands do it every summer. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, propane, water, dump procedures, and the awning, so you leave knowing exactly how everything works. Levis itself is easier to learn in than Quebec City: roads like Route 132 and Highway 20 are wide, well-marked, and bilingually signed. If you'd rather skip the highway altogether, pick a host who offers delivery to your campsite. Many first-timers start with a Class C motorhome or a 22 to 26 foot travel trailer because they feel like a manageable van-plus-cabin combo.
saaq.gouv.qc.ca/en/road-safety/behaviours/recreational-vehicles

What if I have a breakdown or issue during my trip?

You're never alone on the road. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on Autoroute Jean-Lesage or a dead battery at Parc des Chutes-de-la-Chaudiere is just a phone call away. You can also message your host directly through the RVezy app for quick help with quirks like the furnace or slide-out, and RVezy's customer support team is reachable before, during, and after your trip. Save the roadside number in your phone at pickup, snap a photo of your protection details, and head out knowing help is always one tap away.

Can I take my Levis RV rental across the border into the USA?

Yes, many hosts allow cross-border travel into the United States, which makes Levis a great launchpad for an RV road trip from Levis into New England. The closest US crossings are Armstrong/Jackman, Maine (about 220 km / 2.5 hours south) and Estcourt Station, opening up Acadia National Park, the White Mountains, and coastal Maine. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Before booking, message the host to confirm US travel is approved on their listing, and bring your passport, vehicle paperwork, and any pet vaccination records for a smooth border experience.
cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/menu-eng.html

How much will I spend on fuel for a Levis RV trip?

Easier to budget than you'd think. Quebec gas prices in the Levis area typically run around $1.55 to $1.75 CAD per litre, and most Class C motorhomes return 18 to 22 L/100km (about 11 to 13 mpg), while campervans and small trailers behind a midsize SUV are closer to 12 to 15 L/100km. For a typical 4-night loop covering 600 km, plan on roughly $150 to $220 CAD in fuel. The Costco station in Levis on Boulevard Etienne-Dallaire is usually the cheapest fill-up in town. Top up before leaving the city, because prices climb noticeably once you head into Charlevoix or Bas-Saint-Laurent.
regie-energie.qc.ca/en/consumers/oil-products/prix-de-detail-de-lessence-ordinaire-et-du-diesel-au-quebec

How far in advance should I reserve a campsite near Levis?

Sooner is better, especially for summer weekends. SEPAQ (Société des établissements de plein air du Québec) opens reservations for its provincial parks like Jacques-Cartier and Frontenac on the first Wednesday of January at 8 a.m. ET, and the best riverside and waterfront sites can be gone within hours. Private parks like Camping Transit and Quebec City KOA Holiday typically open bookings 9 to 12 months out and fill July weekends by March. For a smoother experience, book your RV first on RVezy, then lock in your campsite the same week. Pro tip: mid-week stays in late August often have last-minute openings even at popular parks.
sepaq.com/reservation/index.dot?language_id=1

What are the driving conditions like around Levis?

Driving an RV around Levis is refreshingly manageable. Highway 20 and Route 132 are wide, modern, and easy to navigate, and most campgrounds sit just minutes off the main routes. The Pierre-Laporte and Quebec bridges between Levis and Quebec City have a height clearance well above any standard RV, so motorhomes pass through without issue, though the bridges narrow to two lanes and can back up at rush hour (3 to 6 p.m. weekdays). Avoid the narrow streets of Vieux-Lévis and Vieux-Québec in anything over 25 feet, and consider taking the Levis-Quebec ferry as a foot passenger instead. Watch for spring potholes in April and black ice into early May.
quebec511.info/en/default.aspx

What hookups and amenities will I find at Levis-area campgrounds?

Levis-area campgrounds are well equipped for a comfortable stay. Most full-service sites at Camping Transit, Quebec City KOA Holiday, and Camping du Fort de la Martiniere offer 30- and 50-amp electrical, potable water, and sewer hookups at the site, plus on-site dump stations included with your stay. You'll also find hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi (variable, so don't rely on it for work), heated pools, and free shuttles to the Quebec City ferry from several parks. For free water fills and dumps on the road, Halte routière de Saint-Nicolas off Highway 20 is a popular stop. Bring a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a basic surge protector to be ready for anything.
ville.levis.qc.ca/en/

What's inside a typical RV rental in Levis?

You'll feel right at home. Most RVs on RVezy in Levis come fully equipped with a real bed (often a queen) plus convertible sleeping for 4 to 8, a kitchen with fridge, freezer, propane stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, furnace and air conditioning, a dining table, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many also include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, propane BBQ hookup, and even a generator or solar for off-grid nights at spots like Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. Listings show exact specs, photos, and a checklist of what's included so you know precisely what to expect before you book.
rvezy.com/rv-rental/canada/quebec/levis

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

A few smart add-ons can transform your trip. Common Levis host extras include delivery and setup (often $2 to $4 per km from their home base), linen and kitchen kits ($50 to $100 per trip), generators, bike racks, camping chairs, propane refills, and prepaid dump and cleaning so you can drop the keys and go. Standard pickup is usually between 1 and 4 p.m. with a 10 a.m. drop-off, but many hosts offer flexible windows if you message them. Mileage policies vary by listing (typically 150 to 250 km included per day, with extra kilometres at $0.25 to $0.45 each), so review the listing details and ask the host any questions right from the booking page.

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

It's simple and secure. When you book an RV rental in Levis, you pay through RVezy with a credit card directly on the platform, never cash or e-transfer to the host. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 CAD depending on the RV) is pre-authorized on your card a few days before pickup, then released after drop-off once the host confirms everything is in good shape. To avoid any deposit hiccups, do a walkthrough video at pickup and drop-off, return the RV with the fuel and propane level noted in your agreement, and empty the tanks if dumping wasn't prepaid. Easy, transparent, and protected end to end.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

What are the best road trip destinations from Levis?

Levis is one of Quebec's best launch pads. Top picks for an RV road trip from Levis include Charlevoix and the whale-watching town of Tadoussac (about 210 km northeast along scenic Route 138), Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier for dramatic river canyons (about 60 km north), Ile d'Orleans for a slow-food loop just across the bridge (about 25 km), the Gaspe Peninsula via Route 132 for a multi-day coastal adventure (about 700 km one way), and Mont-Tremblant for mountain biking and lakes (about 450 km west). For a shorter family RV trip Levis itinerary, try a 3-day loop: Ile d'Orleans, then Charlevoix, then back via Parc de la Jacques-Cartier. You'll be hooked.
