Summer, from June to August, is peak season with warm temperatures averaging 20-26°C and full access to all park activities. Fall, from September to October, features foliage and moderate temperatures ideal for hiking. Winter, from December to March, opens up snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on 84 kilometres of trails.

Approximately 100 kilometres of trails range from easy riverside walks to strenuous summit hikes through forest and open plateau. Popular routes include the riverside path to Pont-Banc and Les Loups Trail (moderate, 10 km, panoramic valley vistas).
Explore scenic river sections on multiple paddling courses suitable for beginners through experienced paddlers. Sépaq provides equipment rentals and shuttle services from main parking areas.
Approximately 30 kilometres of maintained trails traverse forests and plateau terrain with routes suitable for all skill levels, offering views of the valley and surrounding landscape.
Eighty-four kilometres of maintained snowshoe trails and ski routes open from December through March, winding through snow-covered forests and offering panoramic valley views. A 55 km Nordic ski circuit is available for multi-day excursions.
Fish for native brook trout on the Jacques-Cartier River (May 15 to September 15, subject to quota) and designated mountain lakes in the L'Épaule, Jumeau, and Sautauriski sectors using spinning or fly fishing. A daily fishing fee and license are required.
Spot moose, caribou, white-tailed deer, Canada lynx, black bears, and over 130 bird species from hiking trails and natural meadows throughout the park.
Float down scenic sections of the Jacques-Cartier River on tubes during summer months via Sépaq outfitter services and equipment rentals.
