How to get to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
The park's Discovery and Services Centre sits along Route 175 about 30 kilometres (roughly 30 to 40 minutes) north of Quebec City, and about 3 hours northeast of Montreal via Autoroutes 40 and 73. Route 175 is a divided four-lane highway across the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve with long, steady climbs and descents, so RV drivers should plan for grades, watch engine temperatures, and use lower gears on descents. There are no tunnels or unusual weight restrictions on the direct approach, but weather can change quickly at higher elevations, and moose crossings are common at dawn and dusk. The nearest airport for fly-and-rent trips is Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), about 45 minutes south of the park entrance.
