The 56-acre Signalness Lake is the centerpiece of the park, offering excellent fishing for sunfish, panfish, crappies, largemouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, and walleye. Designated swimming areas provide access to the clear waters of Signalness Lake for beach and water recreation. A large wooden fishing pier offers scenic views of the entire lake.
Glacial Lakes preserves one of Minnesota's remaining native prairie ecosystems, with wildflowers and prairie grasses blooming from spring through fall. The rolling landscape provides excellent photography and nature observation opportunities.
Winter visitors can access Signalness Lake for ice fishing when frozen. Northern pike, perch, and bass are common catches. The park provides excellent winter recreation opportunities when summer facilities are unavailable.
The park maintains 6 miles of cross-country ski trails and offers excellent snowshoeing throughout the winter landscape. The Oakridge campground area is particularly popular for winter sports when snow conditions permit.

Glacial Lakes State Park is accessible via State Highway 29, located 5 miles south of Starbuck, Minnesota. From Highway 29, turn onto County Road 41 and proceed 2 miles south to reach the park. The nearest major airport is Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP), approximately 140 miles (2 hours 48 minutes drive) southeast. St. Cloud Regional Airport (STC) is closer at 84 miles northeast. Paved roads throughout the park provide easy RV access, though the maximum recommended RV length is 45 feet, with some sites accommodating up to 68 feet. Contact the park in advance if pulling a larger rig.
