Mid-June through mid-September is the prime window for RV travel, when all park roads and campgrounds are typically open and daytime highs are comfortable for hiking and boating. July and August bring the warmest weather and peak crowds, so arriving early in the day at trailheads and reserving campsites well in advance is important. Late May and September are strong shoulder seasons with fewer visitors, cooler nights, and good wildlife viewing, though some facilities operate on reduced schedules. Winter access is limited: most interior roads, including Teton Park Road, close to vehicles from early November through late April.

Jenny Lake is the park's most popular hiking hub, offering a shuttle boat across the lake to trails leading to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. The South Jenny Lake area has a large day-use parking lot that accommodates RVs, though it fills early in summer.
Colter Bay is a full-service hub on Jackson Lake with a marina, swim beach, visitor center, and easy lakeshore trails. RV travelers staying at Colter Bay RV Park can walk to most amenities without moving their rig. nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/colterbayrv.htm
Signal Mountain Summit Road climbs roughly 800 feet to panoramic viewpoints over Jackson Hole and the Teton Range. The road is narrow and winding and is closed to trailers and large RVs; drive a tow vehicle or car from Signal Mountain Campground.
Oxbow Bend is one of the most photographed spots in the park, with Mount Moran reflected in a slow curve of the Snake River. The paved pullout on US-89 has space for RVs and is excellent for sunrise wildlife viewing including moose, elk, and waterfowl.
Taggart Lake Trail is a 3 to 4 mile round-trip hike to a glacial lake at the base of the Tetons. The trailhead off Teton Park Road has a sizable lot that typically accommodates RVs outside peak midday hours.
Mormon Row preserves the weathered T.A. Moulton Barn and other homestead structures with the Tetons as a backdrop. The gravel pullout area is suitable for smaller RVs, and the short walking paths are flat and accessible.
Guided float trips on the Snake River offer a calm-water wildlife viewing experience with launches near Deadmans Bar and Moose. Outfitters provide shuttle service, so RV travelers can leave their rig parked at the campground.
Cascade Canyon is a classic Teton hike that begins with the Jenny Lake shuttle boat and climbs past Hidden Falls into a glacial canyon between Teewinot and Mount Owen. Plan for a full day and carry bear spray; the trail extends 9 or more miles round-trip depending on turnaround point.
Vehicle worked as expected and had no issues during our trip. Many people stopped to check it out.

Grand Teton National Park, WY, United States
The park's south entrance at Moose is about 15 minutes north of Jackson, Wyoming, and roughly 5 hours (275 miles) from Salt Lake City, Utah via US-89. From Yellowstone's South Entrance it is a short, scenic drive on the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway. RV drivers should avoid Teton Pass (WY-22), which has sustained 10 percent grades and a 60,000 lb weight limit and is not recommended for large RVs or trailers; use US-26/287 over Togwotee Pass (9,658 ft) as the preferred RV route from the east. Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), located inside the park boundary, is the closest option for fly-and-rent travelers.
