How to get to Heyburn State Park

The park lies along State Highway 5 near Plummer, Idaho, in Benewah County. Coeur d'Alene is about 35 miles north, roughly a 45 minute drive, while Spokane, Washington is approximately 75 miles northwest, about 90 minutes away. Spokane International Airport is the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers. Access roads are paved and RV friendly, but Highway 95 south of Coeur d'Alene includes rolling grades and the climb up to Plummer, so drivers of longer rigs should plan fuel stops and watch for winter ice and snow on mountain sections.
