Best time to visit Lake Arrowhead State Park

Spring months of March through May offer the most comfortable conditions, with wildflowers across the prairie and mild temperatures ideal for hiking, biking, and lakeside camping. Fall, from late September through early November, is another strong window, bringing cooler days, active fishing, and thinner crowds after the summer peak. Summer is the busiest season for swimming and boating, but daytime highs routinely top 95 degrees Fahrenheit, so RV renters should plan for electric hookups to run air conditioning. Winter is quiet and the park remains open year-round, though strong north winds are common.
