How to get to Lake Carmi State Park

The park is in the town of Franklin in Franklin County, about 15 miles north of St. Albans and roughly 50 miles (a one-hour drive) north of Burlington via Interstate 89 and Vermont Route 105/Route 236. Montreal is approximately 65 miles to the north, with a border crossing at East Franklin/Morses Line. Access roads are paved rural routes with no tunnels or major mountain passes, but the final approach on Vermont Route 236 includes narrow lanes and tight turns that require slow driving in larger rigs.
