Late June through early September is the best window for RV travel, with hot, dry Okanogan weather, warm lake temperatures ideal for swimming, and long daylight hours. July and August are peak season, so campground reservations fill early and midweek stays are easier. Late May, early June, and September offer quieter shoulder-season visits with mild days and cool nights. Winters are cold with occasional snow and limited camping services, so most RV travelers plan trips between spring thaw and early fall.

The park's sandy swimming beach on Osoyoos Lake is the main summer draw. Warm, clean water makes it a family-friendly spot for wading, swimming, and sunbathing within steps of the campground.
A public boat launch gives direct access to Osoyoos Lake for motorboats, waterskiing, and wakeboarding. The lake is long and relatively narrow, with room to cruise north toward the Canadian border.
Osoyoos Lake is known for warmwater and coolwater fishing including smallmouth and largemouth bass, perch, kokanee, and rainbow trout. Anglers can fish from shore inside the park or launch small boats to reach deeper water.
Calm morning conditions on Osoyoos Lake make it a solid spot for paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing. Paddlers can explore the quieter south end of the lake from the park's shoreline.
Lakefront picnic areas with tables and grills are set beneath shade trees and near the water. The day-use area is a convenient lunch stop for travelers passing through Oroville on Highway 97.
The nearby Similkameen Trail follows an old rail corridor out of Oroville toward Enloe Dam. It offers flat, easy walking or cycling with river and canyon views, and trailhead parking in town can accommodate tow vehicles.
The park sits in the heart of Washington's northern orchard and wine country. RVers can day-trip to fruit stands, cideries, and wineries along Highway 97 between Oroville, Tonasket, and Omak.
Wonderful hosts, great communication and spacious! Christine and Mike were very kind and easy to communicate with. They had the RV set up prior to our check in and even set out an outdoor carpet and chairs for us. Everything worked great. Would definitely rent again!

Lake Osoyoos State Park, WA, United States
The park is on the south end of Osoyoos Lake just off US Highway 97 in Oroville, Washington. From Omak it is roughly a 45 minute drive north on Highway 97, from Wenatchee about 2.5 to 3 hours, and from Spokane approximately 3.5 to 4 hours via Highway 2 and Highway 155. RV drivers coming from the west on Highway 20 should note the North Cascades Highway closes seasonally in winter due to snow, and the route over Washington Pass includes long mountain grades that call for careful braking in heavier rigs. The nearest commercial airports for fly-and-rent trips are Pangborn Memorial (Wenatchee) and Spokane International.
