Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park is located 26 miles northeast of Nevada City, accessible via Highway 49 north and Tyler Foote Road. Sacramento International Airport, approximately 86 miles southwest, serves as the nearest airport for fly-and-rent visitors, approximately 2 hours away. The all-paved Tyler Foote Road is the recommended route for RVs, as alternate routes require high-clearance vehicles. Maximum vehicle length is 19 feet including trailer.
