This 1.4 km loop hike leads to a scenic waterfall in the heart of the park. Easy terrain suitable for families and all fitness levels, with well-marked trailhead access from main campgrounds. A short walk through forest rewards visitors with views of a cascading waterfall through a granite gorge.
A scenic 26 km paddle through calm meanders, peaceful lakes, and class I-II rapids with over 80 riverside campsites for multi-day trips. Self-guided and guided tours available with equipment rental and shuttle service from trailheads.
The park's 400 lakes and six rivers offer abundant opportunities for walleye, pike, and trout. A fishing license is required and available from the park. Summer and fall provide peak fishing conditions.
The park's most popular hike covers 11.6 km round-trip to the second-highest peak in the Laurentians. Multiple scenic viewpoints overlook Lac-Monroe and surrounding mountains. Steep terrain makes this a challenging but rewarding adventure.
Explore the park's lakes and rivers by kayak or SUP, with rental options for all skill levels. The Rouge River features 8, 12, and 23 km route options with sandy beaches. Guided morning kayaking tours on lakes include wildlife observation opportunities.
Winter transforms the park into a Nordic skiing destination with over 40 km of maintained trails for beginners through advanced skiers. Winter RV camping is available near the Discovery Center with direct trail access.
