Winter visits are quieter and the park stays open, though overnight lows can drop below freezing and some facilities operate on reduced schedules. How to get to Mousetail Landing State Park

The park sits along Highway 438 on the Tennessee River, about 10 miles northeast of Linden, Tennessee, and roughly 95 miles (about 2 hours) west of Nashville via I-40 and TN-13. Jackson is about 65 miles (1.5 hours) to the west, and Memphis is approximately 145 miles (2.5 hours) southwest. RV drivers should expect narrow, winding rural two-lane roads (TN-13 and TN-438) with rolling hills and a few steep grades as they approach the river bluffs, so reduce speed on descents and check overhead clearances at rural bridges. Nashville International Airport (BNA) is the closest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers.
