July through September brings the most reliable weather, with dry days, mild highs, and clearer skies ideal for beach time. June and early October are good shoulder options with thinner crowds and easier parking for larger rigs in the small village. Winter visits offer dramatic storm watching and gray whale migration viewing, but expect frequent rain, gusty winds, and limited parking turnover. Weekday visits are strongly recommended in summer because the day-use lot is compact.

Oceanside Beach is a wide sandy stretch ideal for walking, shell hunting, and photographing the offshore sea stacks. The beach is reached by a short staircase from the day-use lot.
A pedestrian tunnel carved through the bluff at the north end of the beach leads to a secluded cove. Pass through only at low tide and check a tide chart before heading in.
The three sea stacks just offshore are a protected refuge hosting nesting seabirds and resting Steller sea lions. Bring binoculars and scan from the beach or village viewpoints, landing on the rocks is prohibited. fws.gov/refuge/three-arch-rocks

The Tillamook Creamery visitor center is about 10 miles east and offers cheese tasting, ice cream, and a self-guided tour. A large paved lot accommodates RVs and trailers.

Oceanside Beach State Park, OR, United States
From Tillamook, drive roughly 10 miles west on Netarts Highway and Netarts Bay Road, about a 20 minute trip. Portland is approximately 80 miles east, a drive of two to two and a half hours via US-26 and OR-6, which includes winding Coast Range grades that RV drivers should take slowly. Netarts Bay Road has tight curves and the village of Oceanside has narrow residential streets and a small day-use lot, so oversized motorhomes and long trailers should scout parking or base out of a nearby campground. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Portland International Airport (PDX).
