Mid-June through early September is the best window, with warm, dry days ideal for swimming, paddling on Slocan Lake, and hiking in the surrounding Selkirk Mountains. Services are offered in the high season between May and September. July and August bring peak demand for the limited reservable sites, so shoulder months of late May, early June, and September are excellent for quieter forested camping and cooler RV travel. Expect cold nights and possible frost in the shoulder seasons at this mountain valley elevation.
