Foster Falls is a 60-foot waterfall that drops into a deep plunge pool ringed by sandstone cliffs popular with rock climbers. A short paved walk from the day-use parking area leads to the overlook, with a longer loop crossing a swinging bridge to the base.
The Stone Door is a natural sandstone crevice that frames a sweeping view of the Big Creek Gulf and serves as a gateway between the plateau top and the canyon floor. The trail from the Stone Door Ranger Station is a flat, mostly accessible path of about one mile round trip.
Savage Gulf protects a three-pronged gorge system with old-growth forest, sandstone bluffs, and several cascading waterfalls. Day hikers can choose short rim walks while backpackers tackle multi-day loops on more than 50 miles of connecting trail.
Fiery Gizzard is one of the most celebrated long trails in the Southeast, running between the Grundy Forest and Foster Falls trailheads. Hikers pass boulder fields, hemlock groves, and a series of waterfalls along Big Fiery Gizzard Creek.
Grundy Lakes is a day-use area with four small lakes, picnic shelters, and the historic Lone Rock coke ovens. A flat, family-friendly loop circles the lakes and connects to the Fiery Gizzard system.
Sewanee Natural Bridge is a 25-foot sandstone arch tucked into a quiet woodland on the western edge of the park. A short walk from the parking pull-off reaches the formation and a small overlook of Lost Cove.
The Greeter Falls Loop visits both Upper and Lower Greeter Falls, with a spiral staircase descending to the lower falls' deep swimming hole. The route is scenic but includes steep, rocky sections and stairs near the falls.
Everything was perfect!!! Zachary and his wife were great through out the whole experience from start to finish. The RV was perfect and everything was labeled so you knew where are the important features were at. The kids loved having there own space. The reclining chairs with heat and massage were the hit with everyone, especially after a long day.

Kandice & her husband Joe were amazing!! They were so attentive & accommodating. Every last detail was thought of inside the trailer & out. The trailer was so clean & was decorated so beautifully. We’ve rented other trailers before but hands down they were the best hosts! If we’re ever in the area again we will 100% book back with them!

South Cumberland State Park, TN, United States
The park's main visitor center near Monteagle sits about 1 hour 30 minutes northwest of Chattanooga and roughly 1 hour 45 minutes southeast of Nashville via Interstate 24, both straightforward drives for RVs. Foster Falls and Grundy Lakes are reached on US 41 and TN 56, which include a steep climb up the Cumberland Plateau and a long descent at Monteagle Mountain that requires careful use of low gears and brakes in larger rigs. Some access roads to trailheads such as Stone Door and Savage Gulf are narrow rural routes with tight turns; tow vehicles handle them better than Class A motorhomes. Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) are the closest fly-and-rent options.
