Best time to visit Stemwinder Provincial Park

Late spring through early fall, roughly May through September, is the best window for RV travel to Stemwinder, when Highway 3 is clear of winter conditions and the Similkameen Valley enjoys warm, dry weather. July and August bring the warmest temperatures and reliable river access, though these are also the busiest months for the small campground. Shoulder months of May, June, and September offer cooler nights, fewer crowds, and more availability for walk-in sites. Winter visits are limited, as the campground operates seasonally.

Wonderful hosts, great communication and spacious! Christine and Mike were very kind and easy to communicate with. They had the RV set up prior to our check in and even set out an outdoor carpet and chairs for us. Everything worked great. Would definitely rent again!
