October through April is the most comfortable stretch for RV travel, with cool, dry days, low humidity, and fewer biting insects. Spring, roughly March and April, brings blooming dogwoods and active fishing on Lake Seminole. Summer is hot and humid with frequent afternoon thunderstorms and heavier bug pressure, so full hookups with air conditioning are recommended. Winter is mild and rarely freezes, making it a popular snowbird shoulder season.

Lake Seminole is the centerpiece activity at Three Rivers State Park and a top bass fishery in the Southeast. Anglers target largemouth bass, crappie, bream, and catfish from the park's fishing pier or a boat launched nearby. A valid Florida freshwater fishing license is required.
The Eagle Trail is a short nature trail that loops through upland longleaf pine and hardwood forest with views down to Lake Seminole. It is a good leg-stretcher from the campground and suitable for most walkers.
A longer hiking route traces rolling bluffs above the lake through mature hardwoods and offers some of the highest elevation views in the Florida Panhandle. Wildlife sightings often include deer, gray fox, and songbirds.
A paved boat ramp gives direct access to Lake Seminole for motorboats, kayaks, and canoes. Paddlers can explore quiet coves and the mouths of the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers on calm days.
The park is a strong wildlife-watching destination thanks to its mix of upland, lakeshore, and wetland habitats. Common sightings include white-tailed deer, gopher tortoises, alligators along the shoreline, and a wide range of wading birds.
Shaded picnic pavilions and a children's playground sit near the lake and make the park a comfortable family day-use stop. Tables and grills are available on a first-come basis.
Three Rivers State Park is part of Florida's state park geocaching network, with caches hidden along trails and near scenic overlooks. It is a family-friendly way to explore the less-traveled corners of the park.

Interstate 10 exit 158 is the standard RV approach, with no tunnels, steep grades, or low clearances on the final stretch of state roads. The nearest major airports for fly-and-rent trips are Tallahassee International Airport (TLH) and Dothan Regional Airport (DHN) in Alabama, each about an hour away. Check local forecasts after heavy rain, as some rural connector roads through Jackson County can have soft shoulders.
