The Mount Pisgah overlook is the park's signature viewpoint, offering a sweeping view of the Kickapoo River valley below. It is reached by a short walk from a designated parking area near the picnic grounds.
Old Settler's Trail is the park's main backcountry hiking loop, descending from the ridgetop down through hardwood forest. The route includes steep sections and stream crossings, making it the most strenuous hike in the park.
Hemlock Nature Trail is a short interpretive loop through a shaded grove of mature hemlock trees. It is well suited for families and travelers wanting a quick stretch from the campground.
The Kickapoo River winds at the foot of the park and is one of Wisconsin's most popular flatwater paddling streams. Local outfitters in Ontario rent canoes and kayaks and provide shuttle service to upstream put-ins.
Wildcat Mountain offers a dedicated horse trail network connected to its equestrian campground. Riders can access miles of ridgetop and valley routes from designated trailheads with trailer parking.
The Ice Cave Trail leads to a small sandstone alcove where seeping groundwater forms ice features into late spring. The route is short but includes uneven footing and stair sections.
The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is an 8,600-acre tract of public land located between the villages of La Farge and Ontario in southwestern Wisconsin, with rich history and recreational diversity. The reserve adjoins the park area and offers additional hiking, paddling, and horseback trails.
In winter, the park's day-use trails are open for ungroomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing across the ridgetop. The campground is closed during this period, so visitors come for day trips only.
Keegan was very responsive when we contacted him for anything. Very nice camper and would use this camper again.

Great clean unit and fun for a larger group. Was very responsive and helpful in the renting process. Would recommended and will probably rent again in the future.

Camper works well if you have a few that need sleeping quarters with the 3 bunks! We actually did not need them but it worked great for luggage, etc.

Wildcat Mountain State Park, WI, United States
The park sits about 3 miles southeast of Ontario, Wisconsin, along State Highway 33. La Crosse is roughly 50 miles west, about a one hour drive, and Madison is about 110 miles east, around a two hour drive. RV drivers should expect narrow, winding rural highways with steep grades and sharp curves climbing up to the ridgetop entrance, so larger rigs should approach slowly and use lower gears on descents. The nearest commercial airport for fly-and-rent travelers is La Crosse Regional Airport (LSE).
