We rented ‘Seraphina’ for our trip through Olympic National Park and Leavenworth in the North Cascades. We loved it! We’re not big campers, but with this Sprinter-based camper van, we had all the comfort of a tiny home on wheels. The van is set up so that everything is well organized and turnkey for traveling from campground to campground with ease and comfort. It is well supplied and outfitted to set up a comfortable and cozy campsite in minutes. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and we slept really well in it. Priscila gave us a great walkthrough at the first handoff and was communicative and there for us to answer questions along the way. We would rent this rig from her again!

Anthony’s 12’ GeoPro trailer was a great rental experience. It was easy to connect and disconnect, which made pickup and drop-off simple and stress-free. The trailer had everything we needed, including a table, chairs, bedding, cookware, cutlery, and place settings. The kitchen was a huge bonus and made the trip much more comfortable. Overall, it was well-equipped, easy to use, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

I took my 16 year old son and 2 adult friends to there first NFL game and to watch our Oilers in Seattle in late November. Dave's RV was the perfect accommodation for the 3 days! What was awesome was the communication with Dave prior to the rental. He answered all questions and concerns in a timely fashion. In this day and age where customer service seems to be almost no existent Dave went above and beyond. Dave went through the pre trip check with me and my son and that interaction showed he cared about us having a positive experience. With any type of rental things could go wrong, nothing did for us, but I felt reassured Dave would be there if anything did, peace of mind! RV was just what we needed for this trip. Thanks again Dave!!

Mark was a wonderful host. This was our first time traveling by RV and he was extremely patient and accommodating with all of our questions. The RV was clean when we picked it up, stocked with household items, such as; dishes, utensils, hand soap and toilet paper. The RV is spacious and comfortable and was the perfect "house on wheels" to travel in. We needed something that would get us up north fast because of an extremely ill family member, and this made our road time so much shorter than having to stop and get a hotel. We would highly recommend Mark as a host and would rent his RV again!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Shoreline, WA

How much does an RV rental in Shoreline cost, and when can I save the most?

Renting an RV in Shoreline is often more affordable than Seattle-area hotel stays. On RVezy, campervan rentals in Shoreline typically start around $125 to $175 per night, Class C motorhome rentals run about $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches start around $250 and up. Hosts set their own pricing, so you can filter by price range and use the Instant Book option for faster confirmation. Pro tip: book a midweek trip in late spring (May) or early fall (September) when Pacific Northwest weather is still great but summer demand has eased. You can often save meaningfully compared to peak July and August pricing.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Shoreline, WA?

Good news: a regular Washington driver's license (or your home state or country license) is all you need to rent an RV in Shoreline. No commercial driver's license (CDL) and no special RV endorsement are required, even for larger Class A motorhomes. RVezy approved drivers must generally be at least 25 years old, and you'll verify your ID through the platform during the booking process. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto club. Most first-time renters in the Seattle area are surprised at how easy the licensing side really is.

What kind of protection comes with my Shoreline RV rental?

Every RV rental in Shoreline booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you're covered from the moment you drive off. The protection plan covers most damage to the vehicle, giving you significant financial peace of mind. You choose your coverage level during checkout (not the host), so you can pick the option that fits your comfort level and trip length. Whether you're heading up to Mount Baker or parking at a Puget Sound campground, you'll have backup if a tire blows, a battery dies, or something unexpected pops up on the road.

What if I need to cancel my Shoreline RV trip?

Booking feels low-risk because RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy, and there's a money-back grace period right after you book in case plans change quickly. After that, what you can recover depends on how close to your trip start date you cancel. Cancellation policies are handled at the platform level and aren't shown on individual listings. If you're unsure, reach out to RVezy support before booking. It's one of the reasons first-time renters feel confident hitting the Request to Book button on an RV rental in Shoreline.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Shoreline?

Absolutely, and Shoreline is one of the most dog-friendly slices of the Seattle metro. Use the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to instantly see pet-friendly RV rental options in Shoreline, then message the host with your dog's size and breed. Once you're rolling, the area has fantastic off-leash spots like Double Bluff Beach on Whidbey Island and the Shoreline Off-Leash Dog Park at Boeing Creek. Most state park campgrounds nearby, including Dash Point and Deception Pass, welcome leashed pets on roads and in campsites. Pro tip: bring a long lead, a towel for muddy Puget Sound paws, and confirm pet cleaning fees with the host upfront.

Can the RV be delivered to me in Shoreline?

Yes, RV delivery in Shoreline is one of the most popular options for first-timers, and many local hosts offer it. They'll drive the motorhome or travel trailer right to your driveway, a friend's house, or directly to a campground like Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell or Kayak Point County Park. The host will then walk you through every system, from propane and water hookups to the awning and slide-outs, so you never feel rushed. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to see hosts offering this service. Delivery fees typically run by the mile, and some hosts include free delivery within a set radius of Shoreline.

How many miles can I drive on a Shoreline RV trip?

You've got plenty of room to roam from Shoreline. Hosts set their own mileage policies, and many offer 100 to 150 free miles per night, with some listings featuring RV rental with unlimited mileage if you're planning a longer road trip from Shoreline. Additional miles typically cost $0.30 to $0.45 each. To put that in perspective: Mount Rainier National Park is about 110 miles south, Olympic National Park's Hurricane Ridge is around 100 miles via ferry, and the North Cascades scenic loop is roughly 130 miles east. Filter for unlimited mileage if you're chasing big distances, or stick to local Puget Sound loops to keep mileage costs near zero.

Where are the best campgrounds near Shoreline for an RV trip?

You have a fantastic mix of campgrounds within an hour of Shoreline. Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell (about 10 miles east) offers full hookups and is the closest classic RV park. Kayak Point County Park in Stanwood (about 40 miles north) provides Puget Sound views and partial hookups. Dash Point State Park near Federal Way (about 35 miles south) has forested sites near the beach. For something more dramatic, Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island (about 75 miles north) is one of Washington's most beautiful campgrounds. Book through the Washington State Parks reservation system up to nine months ahead, especially for summer weekends.

When is the best time to take an RV trip from Shoreline?

Late June through September is hands-down the sweet spot for RV camping in Shoreline. Summer temperatures average a pleasant 65 to 78°F, with long daylight hours stretching past 9 p.m. and the famously dry Pacific Northwest summer keeping campgrounds sunny. May and early October are excellent shoulder seasons with fewer crowds and lower prices, though you'll want to pack layers for cool, sometimes rainy nights in the 40s. Winter RV trips are totally doable too thanks to Shoreline's mild coastal climate (rarely freezing), but mountain passes to the Cascades and Olympics can close after snowstorms. Pro tip: book your July and August trip by March for the best selection.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I actually know what to do?

You'll be in great hands. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup (or delivery), walking through the generator, propane, water, electrical, slide-outs, and dump procedures, so first time renting an RV in Shoreline never feels like guesswork. You can also message your host anytime during the trip with questions. Pacific Northwest hosts tend to be patient, outdoorsy folks who enjoy teaching newcomers. Pro tip: ask for a quick demo of leveling and the awning before you leave, and snap a few photos of the control panels for reference. By night two, you'll feel like you've been doing this for years.

What happens if something breaks down during my trip?

You're never alone on the road. Every Shoreline RV rental on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing. If something inside the RV stops working (say, the fridge or the water pump), message your host first since they know their RV best, then loop in RVezy support if you need backup. Tow services and repair shops are plentiful throughout the Seattle metro. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone before you leave the driveway and keep it on the fridge door.

Can I take my Shoreline RV rental into Canada or other states?

Cross-border road trips are one of the best perks of an RV road trip from Shoreline since the Peace Arch border crossing is only 110 miles north. Many hosts allow trips into British Columbia (Vancouver, Whistler, the Okanagan), but you'll need to confirm with the host before booking and make sure protection coverage extends across the border. Travel into Oregon, Idaho, and the rest of the US is generally welcomed by most hosts. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not allowed on any RVezy rental because insurance and protection coverage don't extend there. Bring your passport, RV registration, and host's written permission letter for the border officer.

What kind of fuel economy and gas budget should I plan for?

Plan smart and fuel won't blow your budget. Campervan rental in Shoreline typically gets 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes average 10 to 14 MPG, and big Class A coaches run 7 to 10 MPG. Most use regular unleaded; diesel pushers obviously take diesel. Washington gas prices tend to run higher than the national average, often $4.40 to $4.90 per gallon in the Seattle area. For a typical 4-night trip to Mount Rainier and back (around 250 miles), budget about $80 to $150 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: fill up in Shoreline or Lynnwood before heading into the mountains where prices spike.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far ahead should I book a campground near Shoreline?

For peak summer weekends (mid-June through Labor Day), book Washington State Park campgrounds the day reservations open, which is up to nine months in advance through the official Washington State Parks reservation system. Popular spots like Deception Pass, Dash Point, and Larrabee can fill quickly. Private parks like Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell are typically easier and can often be booked 1 to 3 months out. For shoulder season (May, September, early October), 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually fine. Pro tip: if you missed out on a state park, check for cancellations 48 to 72 hours before your trip. Sites open up regularly.

What are the local driving conditions like around Shoreline?

Driving an RV around Shoreline is very manageable once you know the rhythm. I-5 runs right through town and is your main artery north to Bellingham and south through Seattle, but expect heavy traffic 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Avoid downtown Seattle in a larger motorhome if you can; the Aurora Bridge has a 14-foot, 6-inch clearance and tight lanes. Mountain passes (Snoqualmie, Stevens, White) can require chains or traction tires from November through March. Rain is the bigger concern most of the year, so slow down and double your following distance. Pro tip: leave Shoreline before 6 a.m. or after 10 a.m. for stress-free highway driving.
wsdot.wa.gov/travel/real-time-travel

What hookups and dump stations can I expect at campgrounds near Shoreline?

Most full-service private campgrounds within an hour of Shoreline offer 30/50-amp electric, potable water, and sewer hookups at the site. Washington State Parks like Dash Point and Kanaskat-Palmer typically provide water and electric (no in-site sewer) but have a central dump station. For dumping near Shoreline, you can use the dump station at Lake Pleasant RV Park or other RV-friendly stations across the metro. Fresh water fills are easy at any state park or private RV park entrance. Pro tip: carry a 25-foot drinking-safe hose and a 90-degree sewer elbow. Both come in handy at sites with awkward hookup placement.
parks.wa.gov/find-parks-and-trails

What amenities come with most Shoreline RV rentals?

You'll be pleasantly surprised at how well-equipped most motorhome rentals in Shoreline are. Standard features include a real bed (often a queen), a kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave, a bathroom with shower and toilet, heating, air conditioning, and seatbelts for every passenger. Many listings also include a generator for off-grid power, a TV setup, and increasingly mobile WiFi or hotspot capability (handy in the Cascades where cell coverage can be spotty). Hosts typically provide kitchen gear, linens, and outdoor chairs, though some treat these as add-ons. Pro tip: read the listing's amenities checklist carefully and message the host to confirm anything that matters to you.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Shoreline%2C%20Washington

What popular add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Hosts in Shoreline often offer add-ons that make life easier: bike racks, kayak and paddleboard mounts, propane fire pits, generators, camping chairs, kitchen kits, and linen packages, typically for $10 to $50 each per trip. Pickup is usually at the host's home, which might be anywhere from north Seattle to Edmonds, Lynnwood, or Bothell, all within easy reach of Shoreline. Delivery to your home or campground is available from many hosts (check the Delivery filter). Standard pickup windows are mid-afternoon with a morning return, but many hosts are flexible. Pro tip: bundling a generator and a propane fire pit pays for itself on the very first night at a no-hookup site.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Shoreline%2C%20Washington

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is straightforward and secure on RVezy. You pay the full trip cost through the platform when you book (never directly to the host), which keeps you protected. A refundable security deposit, separate from your booking payment and typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the RV, is held before pickup and released after the host confirms the RV came back in good shape. To avoid issues: do a thorough walkaround video with the host at pickup and again at drop-off, refill the fuel and propane to the agreed level, and dump the tanks if your agreement requires it. Pro tip: keep receipts for fuel and dump-station fees in case you need to reference them later.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Where can I park an RV overnight in Shoreline if I'm not at a campground?

You have a few good options for where to park an RV in Shoreline when you're between campgrounds. Washington State rest areas along I-5 allow up to 8 hours of parking in any 24-hour period, with no slide-outs or awnings since that counts as camping. Some big-box retailers in nearby Lynnwood and Marysville may allow overnight RV parking with manager permission. Street parking on Shoreline residential streets is limited and isn't ideal for larger rigs. Pro tip: use apps like Allstays or iOverlander to find vetted overnight spots, and always ask the manager first at any private business.
