April through June and September through October offer the most comfortable weather for RV camping, with mild temperatures, blooming hardwoods, or fall color along the Duck River. Summer brings hot, humid conditions and the busiest campground and pool use, so reservations are recommended on weekends. Winter stays are possible because the park remains open year-round, though expect cold nights and occasional freezing rain. Shoulder seasons also bring quieter fairways on the golf course and better wildlife viewing.

The Wilhoite Mill Trail is a shaded loop following the Duck River past the remains of an old grist mill. It is an easy, family-friendly walk with interpretive views of the river corridor.
The park is home to an 18-hole championship golf course open to the public. The course winds through mature trees and rolling terrain, with a pro shop and practice area near the main RV parking area.
The Duck River flows through the park and offers fishing for bass, bream, and catfish, plus flatwater paddling. River access points are a short walk from the campground.
The park operates a seasonal outdoor swimming pool open to registered campers and day-use visitors. It is a popular option for cooling off during hot Middle Tennessee summers.
Henry Horton is one of the few Tennessee state parks with a public skeet and trap range. The range offers shotgun shooting for certified users, with dedicated parking nearby.
This short interpretive loop winds through hardwood forest typical of the Central Basin. Benches and shaded rest stops make it suitable for a quick stretch between driving days.
The park is centrally located for day trips to downtown Nashville and the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg. Both destinations are within roughly an hour's drive on RV-friendly highways, making the campground a practical base camp.
Great person with a great RV. Everything went as expected. Great communication and responses. Also went to a local RV park he recommended and was able to dump tanks, fill water and hang out on a near by lake. Great experience!

We had a great experience with our camper rental with Jamie! She and Emmett were so friendly and accommodating for our trip! Their camper served us well for our trip and I would definitely rent from them again! They even had a little welcome basket for us! So sweet!

Henry Horton State Park, TN, United States
The park sits on U.S. Highway 31A in Chapel Hill, roughly 45 miles south of Nashville (about 1 hour) and 30 miles north of Lewisburg. From Interstate 65, take Exit 46 and follow Highway 99 east to U.S. 31A south, a route with no low tunnels or steep mountain grades and suitable for large RVs. Nashville International Airport (BNA) is the closest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers, approximately a 50-mile drive. Watch for two-lane rural roads and rolling hills on the final approach; plan turns carefully for longer rigs.
