Summer brings warm, humid weather and the busiest weekends, when reservations fill quickly thanks to the swim beach and lake activities. Winter is quieter and good for hiking, but expect cold nights and occasional freezes that can affect water hookups. Shoulder-season midweek stays generally offer the easiest site availability.
