The most comfortable months for RV travel are November through April, when humidity drops, afternoon thunderstorms are rare, and daytime highs sit in the 70s Fahrenheit. Winter and early spring are peak season for campground reservations and for snowbird surfers and anglers. Late spring and early fall shoulder seasons bring warmer swims and fewer crowds, though June through October overlaps with Atlantic hurricane season and frequent afternoon storms.

The North Jetty is the park's signature attraction, offering deep-water saltwater fishing and a world-class surf break at its base. Paved parking accommodates trucks, trailers, and larger vehicles used by anglers and surfers.
Wide Atlantic beaches flank both sides of the inlet and are patrolled by lifeguards during peak season. Boardwalks, showers, and day-use parking make the beaches simple for RV day visitors to access.
This small on-site museum tells the story of the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet, which wrecked off this stretch of coast during a hurricane. Exhibits include recovered coins, artifacts, and interpretive displays on salvage history.
The museum preserves the history of commercial and sport fishing along Florida's Treasure Coast. It sits near the main boat basin with ample parking for larger vehicles.
The lagoon side of the park offers calm, shallow paddling through seagrass flats and mangrove shorelines rich with manatees, dolphins, and wading birds. A launch area and rentals are available near the campground.
A short loop trail winds through coastal hammock vegetation on the lagoon side of the park. The trail is flat and family friendly and begins near the day-use parking area.
A park boat ramp on the lagoon gives access to both the Indian River and, through the inlet, the Atlantic Ocean. Trailer parking is provided, and the ramp is popular with anglers chasing snook, redfish, and tarpon.
A catwalk beneath the inlet bridge and a fishing pier provide sheltered options when jetty conditions are rough. Anglers commonly catch Spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano, and snook in season.
James was a great host. On time delivery, professional set up and always available to answer questions. The RV was very clean, roomy for the three of us and suited our needs perfectly. Would definitely rent this unit through James again if we are ever back in the Cocoa Beach area.

Sebastian Inlet State Park, FL, United States
The park sits on State Road A1A about 15 miles south of Melbourne and 15 miles north of Vero Beach, roughly a 90 minute drive from Orlando via I-95 and SR 512. A1A is a flat, low-speed coastal highway with no tunnels, mountain passes, or steep grades, making access straightforward for any RV class. Drivers should watch for a low bridge clearance on the Sebastian Inlet Bridge and for narrow shoulders on A1A through the park. The closest major airports for fly-and-rent trips are Melbourne Orlando International (MLB) and Orlando International (MCO).
