    The Marl Lake unit across CR-104 features a multi-loop hiking and mountain biking trail of roughly 6 miles around a quiet, undeveloped lake. The park sits off CR-104 on the south shore of Higgins Lake, about 15 minutes west of I-75 exit 239 near Roscommon. Grayling is roughly 20 miles north and Houghton Lake about 15 miles south, while Saginaw is about 90 miles (1 hour 45 minutes) southeast and Detroit around 175 miles (3 hours) southeast. RV drivers should note that access roads are paved and generally RV-friendly with no major grades or tunnels, though the campground has tight interior loops and low tree canopy in spots. MBS International Airport in Saginaw and Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City are the nearest options for fly-and-rent trips.
