July and August bring the peak season with hot, dry days and cool desert nights, so reservations fill fast. Steamboat Rock State Park, WA, United States
The park sits along State Route 155 between Electric City and Coulee City in central Washington. Spokane is roughly 90 miles east, about a two-hour drive via US 2 and SR 174, and Wenatchee is about 100 miles southwest via US 2 and SR 17. RV drivers should plan for open, high-desert highways with few services between towns, strong crosswinds across the Coulee, and a long descent on SR 155 approaching the lake from the north. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Spokane International Airport (GEG).
