Best time to visit Yoho National Park

The best time to visit with an RV is July through September, when all campgrounds and park roads are fully open and weather is mild for hiking and sightseeing. June and early October offer shoulder-season options with lower crowds, though Yoho Valley Road only opens mid-June and closes mid-October due to snow and avalanche risk. Winter travel is possible for visitors with appropriate winter gear, as the Trans-Canada Highway remains open year-round, though most campgrounds close and full services are unavailable.
