Roberts Creek Provincial Park is a serene coastal campground located on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast, 14 km west of Gibsons and 12 km south of Sechelt. Nestled among towering old-growth cedars, Douglas fir, and hemlock trees, this provincial park offers a peaceful retreat with direct access to a rocky cobblestone ocean beach. Established in 1954, the campground sits within the traditional territories of the Sh'sh'lh and Skwxwú7mesh Nations and carries a rich local history. Campers can enjoy unroped ocean swimming, tidal fishing for salmon and cod (license required), and beach exploration. At low tide, the shoreline becomes a natural showcase for sea stars, mussels, and oysters, while whales, seals, and ducks are frequently spotted offshore. On-site amenities include water hookups, picnic tables, fire grills, firewood, toilets, and a dump station, making it well-suited for RV travellers. Wildlife such as deer and Douglas squirrels are common throughout the forested grounds. The park's separate campground and day-use areas provide a well-organized layout for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Roberts Creek Provincial Park is an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of the Sunshine Coast region of British Columbia.
