Easy experience! Josh was so great and helped my little family have an awesome time on our camping trip. The camper was already delivered and set up before we got there, and it was super clean! Communicating with Josh was great. He responded within minutes anytime I had a question. We can’t thank him enough for making our experience seamless. We look forward to booking with him again! 😊

Yvon was the most considerate host! I highly recommend his services and van to anyone who thinks his van is what you need! His converted van worked perfectly for my 7 year old son and I to go camping. The bed is basically a twin bed in size and extremely comfortable. Yvon also has his van equipped with everything you need to camp off grid with all the bells and whistles to give you an enjoyable camping experience. The solar system in the van also supports 110v plug ins which was very handy when needed.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Bethlehem, NH?

Great news for first-time renters: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Bethlehem, NH. New Hampshire does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal-use motorhomes or travel trailers, even the larger Class A rigs. You must be 25 or older to book on RVezy, and ID confirmation happens directly through the platform during checkout, so there's no paperwork shuffle at pickup. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your home-country license. Once that's sorted, your host walks you through the rig at pickup, so you'll feel confident before you ever turn the key toward Franconia Notch.

What if I need to cancel my Bethlehem RV rental?

Booking feels low risk because RVezy, not individual hosts, sets the cancellation policy. The refund amount depends on how far out you are from your trip start date, and the full details are available on the RVezy Help Center so you can review them anytime before booking. If a host has to cancel, RVezy refunds guests or provides travel credits so your plans stay protected. This matters in the White Mountains where winter storms or hurricane remnants occasionally disrupt travel. Pro tip: book early to lock in your preferred rig for your Bethlehem RV trip, knowing the cancellation policy has your back.

Apple Hill Campground and Twin Mountain area parks welcome leashed pets too. Pro tip: pack a tick-prevention plan since the North Country has an active tick season from May through October, and ask your host about any pet cleaning fee so there are no surprises at drop-off.

Where should I stay with my RV near Bethlehem, NH?

You are spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Bethlehem, NH include Apple Hill Campground right in town with full hookups and easy access to Main Street restaurants, Lafayette Place Campground at the base of Franconia Ridge for hikers, Twin Mountain/Mt Washington KOA in nearby Twin Mountain, and Crazy Horse Family Campground in Littleton for family amenities. Most operate from mid-May through mid-October. Pro tip: book Lafayette Place Campground several months ahead through the New Hampshire State Parks reservation system, summer and foliage weekends sell out fast.

When is the best time to visit Bethlehem, NH in an RV?

Bethlehem is a four-season destination, but late June through mid-October is the sweet spot for an RV trip in Bethlehem. Summer highs sit between 75 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit with cool nights dropping into the 50s, perfect sleeping weather. Late September through Columbus Day delivers world-class fall foliage, this is peak season, so book early. May and early June are quieter and cheaper with budding trees and rushing waterfalls. Winter RV camping is possible at Cannon Mountain RV Park and Apple Hill for snowmobilers and skiers heading to Bretton Woods or Cannon. Pro tip: avoid mud season in mid-April when back roads thaw and many private campgrounds haven't opened yet.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving in the White Mountains?

You'll be just fine, first time renting an RV in Bethlehem is more common than you think. Your host gives a full walkthrough at pickup covering brakes, leveling, propane, the awning, and dumping tanks, and you can text them anytime during your trip. The roads around Bethlehem are well-maintained two-lane highways like Route 302 and Interstate 93, with truck-friendly grades through Franconia Notch. Start with a smaller Class C motorhome or campervan if you're nervous, they handle like a big van. Pro tip: do a practice loop on Route 142 between Bethlehem and Franconia before heading up the Mount Washington Auto Road, which RV rentals are actually prohibited from climbing.

What happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?

Take a deep breath, you are covered. Every RV rental in Bethlehem, NH includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the RVezy protection plan, so a flat tire on the Kancamagus Highway or a dead battery at Crawford Notch is one phone call away from help. RVezy's support team is also available before, during, and after your trip to coordinate towing, repairs, or rebooking if needed. Your host is your second line of support, they know their rig best and can often troubleshoot small issues by phone. Pro tip: save the RVezy support number and your host's number in your phone before you leave the driveway, cell service can get spotty deep in the White Mountain National Forest.

Can I take my Bethlehem RV rental into Canada or other states?

Yes to both, with one quick step. An RV road trip from Bethlehem easily reaches Montreal in about three and a half hours, Quebec City in five, or down to Cape Cod in four, and many RVezy hosts allow cross-border travel into Canada once you confirm it with them in writing. Interstate travel throughout New England and beyond is generally unrestricted, so Vermont's Green Mountains, Maine's coast, and the Adirondacks are all fair game. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals due to insurance limitations. Pro tip: message the host before booking, mention your destinations, and ask them to note Canada approval in your reservation so border crossing is seamless.

How much should I budget for fuel on my Bethlehem RV trip?

Fuel is the biggest variable cost, but it's easy to budget. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 miles per gallon, Class C motorhomes run 8 to 12 MPG, Class A rigs 6 to 10 MPG, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle but typically knock 4 to 6 MPG off your truck's normal economy. New Hampshire gas prices typically run a few cents below the national average and there's no state sales tax, so fill up here rather than crossing into Vermont. For a typical four-day Bethlehem RV trip covering 400 miles in a Class C, expect $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: top off at the Irving station on Route 302 in Twin Mountain before heading deeper into the mountains.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Bethlehem?

Earlier is better, especially for the prime spots. New Hampshire State Parks like Lafayette Place and Cannon Mountain RV Park open reservations through ReserveAmerica's New Hampshire portal up to 11 months ahead, and summer weekends plus the entire foliage season from mid-September through Columbus Day often sell out within hours of opening. Private campgrounds like Apple Hill Campground and Along the River fill up two to four months out for peak weekends. For midweek summer or shoulder-season trips, two to three weeks of lead time is usually plenty. Pro tip: if your dream campground is full, ask your RVezy host about boondocking options or lesser-known White Mountain National Forest sites like Sugarloaf 1 and 2 in Twin Mountain.

What are the driving conditions like around Bethlehem?

Mostly relaxed and very RV-friendly. Bethlehem sits at the intersection of Route 302 and Route 142, both wide two-lane highways with gentle grades. Interstate 93 through Franconia Notch is the famous stretch, scenic with a 45 MPH speed limit through the Notch itself, perfect for RV pace. Avoid the Mount Washington Auto Road and the unpaved sections of Bear Notch Road in larger rigs, and skip the Kancamagus Highway only if you're not comfortable with steeper grades. In winter, expect plowed main roads but always check NH 511 for conditions before heading out. Pro tip: watch for moose at dawn and dusk on Route 3 north of Twin Mountain, they're stunning but a serious driving hazard.

What amenities do campgrounds near Bethlehem actually offer?

You will find a great mix of services for RV camping in Bethlehem. Apple Hill Campground offers full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50-amp electric), hot showers, and a dump station. Lafayette Place Campground in Franconia Notch State Park is more rustic with no hookups but has potable water fill stations and a dump station near the entrance. Most private parks have WiFi (variable quality), laundry, and small camp stores. Twin Mountain/Mt Washington KOA adds a pool, playground, and cabins alongside full-hookup RV sites. Pro tip: top off fresh water and dump tanks before heading to any National Forest site without hookups so you can stay longer off-grid.
nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/lafayette-place-campground

What's included inside a typical Bethlehem RV rental?

More than you'd expect. A typical motorhome rental in Bethlehem comes fully equipped with a queen or king bed, convertible dinette and sofa sleepers, a full kitchen (fridge, freezer, propane stove, microwave, sink, cookware, dishes), bathroom with toilet and shower, heating, air conditioning, and seatbelted seating for everyone in your party. Most hosts include linens, towels, a starter propane tank, and basic outdoor chairs. Many rigs have a TV, and some offer generators for off-grid stays, useful at White Mountain National Forest sites without hookups. Pro tip: check the listing photos for a heated tank package if you're booking a shoulder-season Bethlehem trip, it lets you camp comfortably when overnight temps dip into the 30s.
fs.usda.gov/recreation/whitemountain

What add-ons can I get with my Bethlehem RV rental?

Plenty, and they make the trip easier. Popular RVezy add-ons in Bethlehem include camp chairs and outdoor mats ($10 to $25 per trip), bedding and towel kits ($25 to $50), bike racks, kayak racks, generators ($25 to $50 per day), portable grills, and kid or pet packages. Many hosts also offer delivery and setup, propane refills, and full-tank fuel return service so you don't have to find a gas station on departure day. Pickup and drop-off typically happen at the host's home in or near Bethlehem, with a flexible window you'll confirm in messages. Pro tip: bundle add-ons when you book, hosts often discount the total versus adding items piecemeal later.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book an RV rental in Bethlehem, NH through RVezy, your rental cost is charged according to RVezy's payment schedule and held by RVezy until the trip begins. A refundable security deposit (typically a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the rig) is pre-authorized on your card before pickup and released after a successful return. The deposit is separate from your booking payment and covers minor incidentals not handled by the protection plan. To avoid issues, complete the pre-trip walkthrough carefully with your host, photograph any existing dings, and return the RV at the agreed fuel and tank levels. Pro tip: use a credit card with a high limit so the deposit hold does not crowd your trip spending.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Can I rent an RV in Bethlehem in the winter?

Yes, and winter is one of Bethlehem's best-kept secrets. Several RVezy hosts list four-season rigs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and propane furnaces ready for snowy adventures, perfect for snowmobilers and skiers headed to Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain, and Loon. Daytime highs in January typically run in the 20s Fahrenheit with overnight lows often in the single digits or below, so a winter-ready RV plus shore power makes a cozy basecamp. Note that most area campgrounds close water service after Columbus Day, so fill your fresh tank before arriving. Pro tip: filter for RVs with heated tanks and ask the host to demo the furnace at pickup so you are toasty on night one.
