Anthony’s 12’ GeoPro trailer was a great rental experience. It was easy to connect and disconnect, which made pickup and drop-off simple and stress-free. The trailer had everything we needed, including a table, chairs, bedding, cookware, cutlery, and place settings. The kitchen was a huge bonus and made the trip much more comfortable. Overall, it was well-equipped, easy to use, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

I took my 16 year old son and 2 adult friends to there first NFL game and to watch our Oilers in Seattle in late November. Dave's RV was the perfect accommodation for the 3 days! What was awesome was the communication with Dave prior to the rental. He answered all questions and concerns in a timely fashion. In this day and age where customer service seems to be almost no existent Dave went above and beyond. Dave went through the pre trip check with me and my son and that interaction showed he cared about us having a positive experience. With any type of rental things could go wrong, nothing did for us, but I felt reassured Dave would be there if anything did, peace of mind! RV was just what we needed for this trip. Thanks again Dave!!

Mark was a wonderful host. This was our first time traveling by RV and he was extremely patient and accommodating with all of our questions. The RV was clean when we picked it up, stocked with household items, such as; dishes, utensils, hand soap and toilet paper. The RV is spacious and comfortable and was the perfect "house on wheels" to travel in. We needed something that would get us up north fast because of an extremely ill family member, and this made our road time so much shorter than having to stop and get a hotel. We would highly recommend Mark as a host and would rent his RV again!

What license do I need to rent an RV in Kirkland, Washington?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Kirkland. Washington State only requires a commercial driver's license (CDL) for vehicles over 26,001 pounds, and virtually every Class B campervan, Class C motorhome, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on RVezy falls well under that threshold. RVezy approved drivers must generally be 25 or older with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during booking. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country along with your home-country license. Most first-time renters in Kirkland are surprised how quickly the verification process moves once they hit Book.

What is the cancellation policy for an RV rental in Kirkland?

Booking your Kirkland RV trip is lower risk than you might think. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not the individual host), and you will see the exact terms during checkout before you confirm payment. If a host cancels, RVezy helps you rebook or refunds your booking. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best Class C motorhome for a July Olympic Peninsula loop, knowing you can review the cancellation terms at checkout before you commit.

Yes, RV delivery Kirkland is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it is a game-changer if you are a first-time renter or you are flying into Sea-Tac. Many local hosts will drive the RV directly to your campground, your driveway in neighborhoods like Juanita or Rose Hill, or even nearby spots like Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell. To give you a sense of what fits: Mount Rainier National Park is about 95 miles south, Leavenworth is about 130 miles east via US-2 over Stevens Pass, Olympic National Park (Hurricane Ridge) is about 110 miles via the Bainbridge ferry, and the Canadian border at Blaine is about 110 miles north. Issaquah Village RV Park (15 miles southeast) puts you walking distance from downtown Issaquah and Lake Sammamish. Vasa Park Resort on Lake Sammamish (12 miles south) is a local favorite for families with a swimming beach. For a state-park experience, Saltwater State Park in Des Moines (30 miles south) sits right on Puget Sound. Heading further out, Kanaskat-Palmer State Park (40 miles southeast) along the Green River is gorgeous. Pro tip: book Washington State Parks sites on the Washington State Parks reservation site up to nine months ahead for summer weekends.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Kirkland?

The sweet spot for renting an RV in Kirkland runs from late June through early October, when the Pacific Northwest delivers its famous run of dry, sunny days with highs of 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and minimal rain. July, August, and September are statistically the driest months in the Seattle area, making them ideal for Mount Rainier, the San Juan Islands, and the Olympic Peninsula. May and early June are wetter but uncrowded and beautifully green. Winter trips are absolutely doable in a four-season RV thanks to mild lowland temperatures (highs in the mid-40s), and many hosts list year-round. Pro tip: book by February for August trips, the best Kirkland RVs go fast.

I have never rented an RV before. Will I get help figuring it out?

First time renting an RV in Kirkland? You will be in great hands. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup or delivery, walking you through the generator, water tanks, propane, slide-outs, awning, and any quirks of that specific rig. Most walkthroughs run 30 to 60 minutes, and your host's number is in your pocket the whole trip if anything comes up. You can also message the host with questions before you even book. RVezy's customer support team is available before, during, and after your trip, and 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every protection plan. Pro tip: start with a smaller Class B campervan or Class C motorhome for an easier confidence-building first trip.

What happens if my RV breaks down during the trip?

Take a breath, you are covered. The roadside team coordinates tows, tire service, jump starts, lockouts, and fuel delivery across Washington State. Your host is also a direct resource since they know their RV inside and out. RVezy's customer support is reachable throughout your trip if you need to escalate. Pro tip: snap a photo of the RV's VIN and license plate at pickup so dispatch can get help moving fast.

Can I take my Kirkland RV rental into Canada or another state?

Cross-border road trips from Kirkland are a real possibility. Canada is just 110 miles north via I-5, and many hosts allow trips into British Columbia (Vancouver, Whistler, the Okanagan), but you must confirm with your host before booking and they will provide the documentation needed for the border. Travel to Mexico is not allowed on any RVezy rental because insurance and protection coverage do not extend there. Interstate travel within the U.S. is widely allowed, with popular RV road trip from Kirkland routes including the Oregon Coast (Astoria to Bandon), Glacier National Park in Montana, and Yellowstone via I-90. Message the host directly from the listing to confirm your route and any cross-border fees.

How much will I spend on fuel for my Kirkland RV trip?

Budgeting fuel for a campervan rental Kirkland or larger motorhome is easier than you think. Washington gas prices typically run higher than the U.S. average, often $4.20 to $4.80 per gallon in the Seattle metro. A Class B campervan averages 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), a Class C motorhome gets 10 to 14 MPG, and a Class A motorhome usually returns 7 to 10 MPG. For a 500-mile loop to Mount Rainier and back in a Class C, expect roughly $175 to $225 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Kirkland or Bothell before heading east over Snoqualmie Pass, where mountain-town gas prices in Cle Elum or Leavenworth can jump 30 to 50 cents per gallon.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Kirkland?

For summer weekends, book Washington State Parks campgrounds (like Kanaskat-Palmer, Saltwater, or Deception Pass) the day they open the nine-month booking window through the official Washington State Parks reservation system. Private parks like Lake Pleasant RV Park and Issaquah Village RV Park typically book three to four months ahead for July and August. National Forest sites in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie open six months out on Recreation.gov. Midweek and shoulder-season trips are far easier to score on short notice. Pro tip: if your dream weekend is full, set a Recreation.gov alert; cancellations are constant, and Kirkland-area sites pop back open all the time.

What is driving an RV like in and around Kirkland?

Kirkland itself is one of the easier Seattle-area cities to navigate in a motorhome rental Kirkland thanks to wide arterials like NE 85th Street and Lake Washington Boulevard. I-405 is your main highway and can get sluggish during 7 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. commutes, so plan departures outside those windows. Avoid driving large Class A rigs into downtown Seattle (use delivery instead) and watch for the 14-foot clearance on some older Eastside underpasses. Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 east is RV-friendly year-round but can require chains in winter. Pro tip: check WSDOT mountain pass cameras before crossing the Cascades, conditions change quickly between Kirkland's mild lowlands and the higher elevations.
wsdot.com/travel/real-time/map

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Kirkland?

Campgrounds around Kirkland range from full-service resorts to rustic state parks, so you can choose your comfort level. Lake Pleasant RV Park and Issaquah Village RV Park offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, laundry, and showers. Washington State Parks like Kanaskat-Palmer have water and electric at most sites plus dump stations, while Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest sites are typically primitive with vault toilets and no hookups. For dumping and freshwater fills near Kirkland, head to Lake Pleasant RV Park (open to non-guests for a fee) or Blue Sky RV Park in Issaquah. Pro tip: pack a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a 4-in-1 sewer adapter, they handle 99% of Washington campground setups.

What is included inside a typical RV rental in Kirkland?

Kirkland RV rentals come surprisingly well-equipped. Most listings include a queen or king bed plus bunks or convertible dinettes (sleeps 4 to 8), a kitchen with fridge, stovetop, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control with furnace and air conditioning, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many also include a generator for off-grid power, a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth stereo, and outdoor awning. Some Kirkland hosts even throw in starter kits with linens, towels, dish soap, and coffee. Wi-Fi hotspots and solar panels are common add-ons. Pro tip: each listing has a detailed amenities checklist, scan it before booking to make sure your must-haves (like a backup camera or bike rack) are included.

What add-ons and pickup options are available with my Kirkland RV rental?

Renting an RV in Kirkland comes with great flexibility on extras. Popular add-ons hosts offer include linens and towel packages ($25 to $75), kitchen kits ($25 to $50), camping chairs and outdoor tables ($15 to $30), bike racks, portable Wi-Fi hotspots, generators (sometimes included, sometimes $25 to $50 per day with fuel surcharge), and propane fill-ups. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Kirkland or nearby Bothell, Redmond, Bellevue, or Woodinville, or you can choose delivery to your campground. Mileage policies vary by host, so review them on the listing. Pro tip: bundle linens, kitchen, and chairs into one package if the host offers it, you'll often save 15 to 20% compared to ordering them individually.

How does payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in Kirkland?

Payment for your Kirkland RV rental is handled securely through RVezy at the time of booking, with your card charged for the rental, fees, and any add-ons you select. A separate refundable security deposit is placed as a hold on your card before pickup, typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV's value, and released within a few days after a clean return. You never pay hosts in cash, which protects both sides. To avoid any deductions, return the RV on time, clean inside, with tanks dumped and fuel topped per the host's listed terms. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos and a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff, it is the easiest way to keep your deposit return smooth.

Where can I park or stay overnight in an RV in Kirkland itself?

Heads up: the city of Kirkland prohibits overnight RV camping on public streets and in public parks, so plan to use a designated RV park or campground for sleeping. The good news is you have excellent options within 10 to 20 minutes: Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell, Trailer Inns RV Park in Bellevue, Issaquah Village RV Park, and Vasa Park Resort in Bellevue all offer full hookups close to Kirkland's restaurants and Lake Washington waterfront. For daytime parking while you explore downtown Kirkland, larger lots near Marina Park can accommodate smaller campervans, but bigger rigs should park at the edges of town and rideshare in. Pro tip: book RV delivery to your chosen park so you skip Eastside traffic entirely.
