I took my 16 year old son and 2 adult friends to there first NFL game and to watch our Oilers in Seattle in late November. Dave's RV was the perfect accommodation for the 3 days! What was awesome was the communication with Dave prior to the rental. He answered all questions and concerns in a timely fashion. In this day and age where customer service seems to be almost no existent Dave went above and beyond. Dave went through the pre trip check with me and my son and that interaction showed he cared about us having a positive experience. With any type of rental things could go wrong, nothing did for us, but I felt reassured Dave would be there if anything did, peace of mind! RV was just what we needed for this trip. Thanks again Dave!!

Mark was a wonderful host. This was our first time traveling by RV and he was extremely patient and accommodating with all of our questions. The RV was clean when we picked it up, stocked with household items, such as; dishes, utensils, hand soap and toilet paper. The RV is spacious and comfortable and was the perfect "house on wheels" to travel in. We needed something that would get us up north fast because of an extremely ill family member, and this made our road time so much shorter than having to stop and get a hotel. We would highly recommend Mark as a host and would rent his RV again!

Chris was really great to work with! He's very personable, responsive, helpful, and flexible. He was willing to move around our pick-up to better suit our needs, within his abilities. This was greatly appreciated. He offered to give us a ride to the light rail after returning the RV. And he had great suggestions for us during our trip that helped save us time and money. We had a great time on our first RV adventure in his RV, "Miles of Smiles". Vehicle AC is being fixed, it didn't bother us. Camper AC worked great on the generator or electric hookup. We couldn't get the shower water heater to work, but we preferred the campground showers anyways. Everything else worked great on the RV. Lots of fridge/freezer space. Stove and microwave worked well as well as the propane grill if you encounter a burn ban. LOVED the Space you got with the slide out, the awning was really fun, the bunk above the cab was loved by our kids, the TV/DVD was needed at the end of a long day!, and all the storage was excellent. This was very comfortable and enjoyable ride for our 4 day adventure in Olympic and the North Cascades! Thanks so much Chris. We appreciate you!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Parkwood, WA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Parkwood, WA?

RV rental in Parkwood, WA is one of the better values in the Seattle metro area because you skip the ferry markup and city traffic. On RVezy, expect roughly $95 to $175 per night for a travel trailer, $150 to $250 for a Class C motorhome, and $90 to $140 for a campervan rental in Parkwood. Hosts set their own pricing, so you'll find cheap RV rental Parkwood options if you book midweek or in the shoulder season (April, May, September). Want to save more? Use the price filter, book early for summer Hood Canal trips, and ask hosts about weekly discounts. Many Kitsap Peninsula hosts knock 10 to 20% off stays of seven nights or longer.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Parkwood, WA?

Good news: a standard driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Parkwood. Washington does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or any special endorsement for motorhomes, travel trailers, or fifth wheels under 26,000 pounds, which covers virtually every RV on RVezy. You'll need to be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform when you book. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home country's license along with an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your license isn't in English. First time renting an RV? You're in great company, Kitsap is a low-stress place to learn with quiet rural roads and friendly hosts who walk you through everything at pickup.

Pro tip: book a late-September trip to catch ripe-apple weather, salmon runs at the Hood Canal hatcheries, and shoulder-season pricing on both the RV and the campground.

I have never rented an RV before. Is Parkwood a good place to start?

You can also message hosts before booking with any question, no matter how basic. Want zero stress? What are the best road trips from Parkwood, WA?

An RV road trip from Parkwood opens up some of the most scenic miles in the country. Head west to Olympic National Park for Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, and the Hoh Rainforest (75 to 150 miles, 2 to 3.5 hours). Drive south to Mount Rainier National Park for alpine meadows at Paradise (about 110 miles, 2.5 hours). Loop the entire Olympic Peninsula on Highway 101 (a classic 330-mile circle). Cross the Cascades east to Leavenworth's Bavarian village (175 miles, about 3.5 hours). Or head down the Pacific coast to Cannon Beach, Oregon (240 miles). Travel into Canada is allowed with some hosts and requires advance approval; travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals.

How much should I budget for fuel on my RV rental in Parkwood?

Fuel is one of your biggest variables, but it's easy to plan for. Expect roughly 8 to 10 MPG for a Class C motorhome, 10 to 14 MPG for a campervan rental Parkwood, and 12 to 18 MPG for a tow vehicle pulling a travel trailer. Washington gas prices typically run $0.40 to $0.80 above the national average, so budget around $4.50 to $5.20 per gallon for regular and slightly more for diesel. A typical 300-mile Kitsap-to-Olympic-Peninsula loop runs about $120 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: Costco in Silverdale (about 10 miles from Parkwood) consistently has the cheapest gas in the county, fill up there before heading west on Highway 101.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Parkwood?

For summer weekends at Washington State Parks, book the day reservations open, which is nine months in advance through the official Washington State Parks reservation system. Manchester, Illahee, Kitsap Memorial, and Belfair State Parks all fill within hours for July and August Fridays and Saturdays. Midweek summer stays and shoulder-season trips (May, September, October) are much easier, often available a few weeks out. Private parks like Eagle Tree RV Park in Poulsbo typically book 1 to 3 months ahead in peak season. Insider tip: many Kitsap regulars target Sunday-through-Thursday stays, they're quieter, cheaper, and far easier to grab last minute. Pair that with a flexible RVezy delivery booking and you've got a stress-free trip.

What are driving conditions like around Parkwood, WA?

Driving an RV around Parkwood is refreshingly mellow compared to most metro areas. Local roads like Sedgwick Road, Mile Hill Drive, and Highway 16 are wide, well-maintained, and rarely congested outside of weekday Bremerton commute windows (7 to 9 AM and 4 to 6 PM). Watch for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge eastbound toll (cash-free, billed via license plate) and the occasional ferry queue at Southworth or Bremerton terminals. Rain is the main weather factor October through April, slow down and double your follow distance on wet pavement. Avoid driving tall rigs through downtown Seattle entirely; instead, use the Tacoma Narrows route or have your host deliver. The good news? Kitsap drivers are notoriously patient with RVs.

Kitsap-area campgrounds are well-equipped for RV camping Parkwood adventures. Manchester State Park offers vault and flush toilets, drinking water, and a dump station; Illahee has electric and water hookups plus showers; Kitsap Memorial features full hookups (water, electric, sewer) at eight sites; and Belfair has 47 full-hookup sites. Most Washington State Parks have potable water fill stations and dump stations, with day-use Discover Pass required ($11.50 daily or $30 annual). For propane and supplies, head to Silverdale or Port Orchard, both within 10 miles. Pro tip: if you're boondocking on the Olympic Peninsula, top off fresh water and dump tanks at Belfair or Kitsap Memorial before heading out, services get sparse west of Highway 101.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is handled fully through the RVezy platform, with no cash exchanged with the host. You pay your booking total (rental, fees, protection plan) by credit card, with a portion charged at booking and the balance typically charged before pickup. A refundable security deposit is held on your card before your trip starts (commonly $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig) and released after dropoff once the host confirms everything is in order. To avoid issues, complete the pre-trip walkthrough, photograph the RV inside and out at pickup, return it on time with the same fuel and propane levels, and dump tanks if your host requires it.
