Late June through early September offers the warmest, driest weather, open swim beaches, and full canoe and kayak rentals at South Beach. During the summer, Golden Ears is extremely popular and campgrounds fill most weekends, so midweek arrivals are best for RVers seeking quieter sites. May and mid-September to mid-October are good shoulder-season windows with cooler temperatures, fewer crowds, and easier site availability, though rain is more frequent. Winter visits bring heavy rain at lower elevations and deep snow in the alpine.

Lower Falls Trail is a popular, mostly flat walk along Gold Creek to a dramatic waterfall and is the park's signature family hike. The route is roughly 5.5 km round trip from the Gold Creek parking lot. There is designated space for 110 vehicles at Gold Creek trailhead, which accommodates larger rigs on quieter days. bcparks.ca/golden-ears-park/
Alouette Lake is the park's recreational centerpiece, with sandy beaches and warm summer swimming at South Beach and North Beach day-use areas. Canoe, kayak, and pedalboat rentals are available at the Alouette South Beach day-use area, weather permitting, on weekends from May long weekend to late June and daily from late June to Labour Day. There is designated space for 100 boat launch vehicles and 800 regular vehicles at Alouette Lake boat launch and South Beach day-use area. bcparks.ca/golden-ears-park/
The Golden Ears Trail is a strenuous alpine route to the twin peaks that give the park its name and is best tackled as an overnight trip. The climb is accessed from the West Canyon parking lot via the West Canyon-Golden Ears Trail; this 12 km trail has an elevation change of 1,500 m, a suggested one-way time of seven hours, and the round trip is an overnight expedition for all but the fittest. Campsites are available at Alder Flats and Panorama Ridge. bcparks.ca/golden-ears-park/
Golden Ears has an extensive equestrian trail network winding through the Alouette Valley forests. The extensive system of trails within the park provides an excellent opportunity for hiking and horseback riding. Dedicated horse staging areas make it a destination for riders traveling with trailers. bcparks.ca/golden-ears-park/
Alouette Lake offers freshwater fishing for kokanee, rainbow trout, and cutthroat trout from shore or boat. Alouette Lake is a popular spot for swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, boating and fishing. A valid BC freshwater fishing licence is required. bcparks.ca/golden-ears-park/
Paddlers can extend their trip with boat-in camping on the shores of Alouette Lake. Canoeing and kayaking are very popular on Alouette Lake, and Golden Ears Park also offers campsites that are only accessible via water. RVers can base at a frontcountry campground and day-trip to these sites by kayak or canoe. bcparks.ca/golden-ears-park/
The West Canyon Trail follows Gold Creek through dense coastal forest and links to longer routes up to Panorama Ridge. The trailhead parking area is smaller than Gold Creek, so arrive early in peak season. There is designated space for 55 vehicles at West Canyon trailhead. bcparks.ca/reservations/day-use-passes/

Mr Yi has been very helpful in sharing the information about the vehicle. For me it was the first experience. Mr Yi's inputs were very helpful. The vehicle was in a very good condition and my family enjoyed a lot. Mr Yi was very flexible and accommodative regarding the time. I will say it exceeded my expectations in all aspect. Thanks

We had a fantastic experience renting an RV from David at RV Easy. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The delivery was right on time, and David took the time to thoroughly walk us through the trailer, explaining how everything worked and reviewing any pre-existing wear or damage. Throughout our trip, he was quick to respond to any questions we had and even came out promptly to help us with an issue we couldn't figure out ourselves. The pickup process was just as easy and hassle-free as the delivery. David was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in providing excellent customer service. We felt completely confident both in his abilities and in the quality of the trailer we rented. I would highly recommend David to anyone considering an RV rental. We will definitely be renting from him again in the future!

david was a great host, very responsive with messages and flexible with pick up when our plans shifted. It was our first family camping trip with the kids and we had a wonderful weekend with the trailer. The kids loved the bunk beds!

Golden Ears Provincial Park, BC, Canada
Access to the park is by vehicle via Dewdney Trunk Road through Maple Ridge; turn onto 232nd Street, then right onto Fern Crescent at the traffic circle and follow the road into the park. From downtown Vancouver, the drive is roughly 60 km and about one hour, while Abbotsford is about 45 minutes east. The campgrounds are approximately 11 km north of the park entrance on a paved but winding park road with some narrow sections, so RV drivers should take curves slowly and watch for cyclists. Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers, about 90 minutes away by road depending on traffic.
