Mr Yi has been very helpful in sharing the information about the vehicle. For me it was the first experience. Mr Yi's inputs were very helpful.
The vehicle was in a very good condition and my family enjoyed a lot.
Mr Yi was very flexible and accommodative regarding the time.
I will say it exceeded my expectations in all aspect. Thanks
The Van was not the best choice for our travel objectives. We were looking into being free from being plugged in with electricity on campgrounds as they are mostly closed in November, and even if it was advertise with solar panel and we had lots of sunny and partially sunny days, we ran out of battery power shortly after having parked for the night on 4/7 days. We had planned to go into the more mountainous area which we could unfortunately not sustain having limites trust in the brakes’s power and parking break capability of this 2016 model with breaks apparently inspected in August.
We had to modify our trip significantly, use our torch lamps for lighting, put ice bags in the fridge and burn a significant amount of gas idling (I hate idling) for heat before bedtime and in the morning, showering every other day. All okay if you are use to camping; and we are. But that is not RV-ing. We covered only 530 km out of the 1000km planned and paid 400$ for gas. Which bring the consumption at 80$/100L. Yikes!
The owner did his best to help to understand why the core battery would not keep its charge ( likely wiring or faulty ) and was very sorry for these problems and offered a symbolic monetary compensation and drove us back to the airport.
It is our second experience at RV-ing with RVesy which leaves us with a bitter taste and gives an overall rate of 5/10 to it. RVesy is a hit and miss business. It’s great when you hit but so disappointing when you miss your long awaiting trip plans flying from a distant place.
My advise ask a lot of questions and share your trip plan with the host to be sure the van can accommodate them. If you can, have a plan B for your travel. This should not be necessary and is rarely possible.
We did thankfully experience a lot of good people and see a lot of wildlife. BC is a great place to travel
Thank you all for reading.
