July and August offer the warmest weather, the best lake swimming, and full campground services, but these peak months book up fast on the BC Parks reservations system. Late June and early September are excellent shoulder-season windows for RV travellers seeking cooler temperatures and quieter sites. Ice fishing opportunities are popular during the winter season, though most RV facilities are closed outside the operating season. Spring visitors should watch for lingering snowmelt and higher river levels along nearby waterways.

Communication should have been 6 stars. Best I’ve ever had! What a treat to have a fresh travel trailer delivered to our camping spot with everything ready. All we had to do was unload our food and clothing, lean back and relax. Great weekend! Thank you.

Moyie Lake Provincial Park, BC, Canada
The park is approximately a 20 km (15 minute) drive south of Cranbrook on Highway 3/95, and the small community of Moyie is located 5 km south of the park. From Calgary, the drive is roughly 400 km (about 4.5 to 5 hours) via Highway 3 over Crowsnest Pass, which includes steep grades and switchbacks that require low-gear descents for heavier RVs. Winter travellers on Highway 3 should carry chains and check DriveBC for pass conditions. The closest airport for fly-and-rent trips is Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC) in Cranbrook, about 20 km north of the park.
